Just a little before my time. Anyone want to re-hash what happened with him and James Harris and the wrong guy starting in the playoffs? I forget how it goes. That Jaworski went on to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl always left me with the impression that the Rams kept the wrong guy. Harris went to the Chargers though so I'm not really sure why they got rid of Jaworski AND Harris and decided to go with Haden. Who I was never a fan of.

Because they new that in 2015 that Pat would be in charge of the Coliseum and help work things so that the Rams could return to LA from StL.

Okay here's what I got Carroll Rosenbloom preferred Pat Haden not because of talent because of pedigree. Also there was some scuttlebutt that James Harris had a fling with Lucia who was Rosenbloom's daughter and thus why he was sent to San Diego. Not sure who Knox preferred and I have always disliked Haden because of this, they traded the wrong Quarterback, however, Jaws was coming off a broken leg and the Rams acquired TE Charles Young in the trade who was highly thought off at the time.

Also in 1977 they traded Jawowski and Harris and signed Joe Willie Namath as a free agent so the Rams felt Namath was going to be their guy to take them to a Super Bowl and catch lightning in a bottle, but that failed miserably and they were left with smarty pants with his pop gun Sally arm.

It also led to them drafting Ferragamo but that just continued a tradition of screwing up at the QB position. They should have built around and paid Ferragamo but, of course, botched it. Namath, Jones, Barkowski...why were the Rams so enamored with QB's who were washed up and had bad knees?

Bartkowski was in 86 so Ferragamo was gone and I always felt they should have kept Jaworski over Haden at times Georgia and her regime were penny wise and dollar foolish and Ferragamo is an excellent example. They did not want to pay him so he goes to Canada and the Rams fail miserable with Haden & another has been Dante Pastorini.

So in 82 they pay a big price to not only acquire Bert Jones, but he was making more than Ferragamo wanted in the first place. Jones lasts four games and then Ferragamo comes back once again. Many wonder why Ram fans despised the regime of Georgia Frontiere and John Shaw, but it was moves like this that had Ram fans shaking their heads in great disdain.

One more quick note Frontiere fired Ray Malavasi at the end of the 82 season by leaving him a message. That's right Malavasi had been a coach since 1973 and a Head Coach since 78 leading the Rams to their only Super Bowl and Frontiere did not even take the time to do it the right way.

She was not all bad did quite a bit for charity, but she made a mess of a great franchise IMHO and it will continue until their return to Tinseltown.
