Sure you are. You're saying every turnover or almost every turnover is bizarre or unforced. You claim most of them are back breakers.

The Miami game? Throwing it right to Wilkins was pretty godawful. I have questions about how he didn't see an uncovered LB right in front of him on the fumble-td.. and.. if you're being honest.. he could have had at least two more ints in that game on bad throws.

See a prime example. The throw to Wilkins was bad. He didn't see the DE drop. The "uncovered LB right in front of him" is what is called, bullshit. The line blocked left, Henderson was in motion right and the LB came off the right side. That should be Henderson's guy to block or even chip but he didn't get the memo, as that's all it would have taken to afford the time. And Goff was looking left from the get-go, so even with spidy peripheral vision, he couldn't have seen the guy. So yeah, I'm calling exaggeration and bullshit on that one. "How he missed the LB right in front of him".. As far as the "he could have had two more picks", true but misleading. One of the balls was batted 8 foot into the air by the DL and the LB dropped it. Not a "bad throw" but a good play by the DL.

When he got hit Sunday? Where was he going with that ball? I already acknowledged he was getting hit.

Woods was the target but the hit severely affected the throw.

See, there have been "dumb plays", "bad throws", "poor decisions", even the "boneheaded play" and yes a "backbreaker" here and there. Although 14 turnovers in 9 games is a lot, it's exacerbated by 2, count them, 2 bad games where he's had 7. And we're 0-2 in those. He's got 7 in the other 9 and we're 7-2. Does he need to clean it up? Absolutely. Does he need a shrink? No. Is there reason for concern. Some. Is there reason to describe every one as boneheaded, bizarre or unforced. No, that's what's called "for effect".

Interesting graph. So he went 14 regular season games w/o a fumble until Miami this year but had a 15 game stretch fumbling prior to that. I'm hoping that trend changes or were in for another 9 or 10 games of frustration.
3 and 4 pick games shouldn't happen either.

Yeah, its weird to me. I was really happy at the start of this year with the way Goff was protecting the ball. I thought he made the step up to mature vet who figured out how to handle pressure much better. Then Miami game seemed to shake him up. At this point, its anyones guess how it goes. I got my rosary beads out.

Goff sure has had some bad games. But is that what the complaints are all about? Goff is playing poorly and needs to get better? Or do we need another quarterback? Because lets get real, he's our guy whether some like it or not. Its far from a sure thing we find someone better. Because last time I checked the top quarterbacks are all taken.

Another argument is that he should be better because he got paid. Well, shout at the moon all you want. It doesn't work that way. All you can do is hope he gets better. So far it ain't looking like it.

Bottom line, Goff is going nowhere. He's the Rams quarterback. There are no better options at this point. He's shown he's capable of good games and winning. All we can do is hope whatever is in his head causing turnovers gets straightened out.

I think we have to balance the 31/43 low turnovers games with the possibility that defenses have zoomed in on Goff's weaknesses.

We just gotta wait and see how the next few games go.

Max is right but he did have 3 fumbles over that span that weren't lost. And even in the previous 6 games he only had 2 lost fumbles. He had 3 fumbles, 1 lost in the Pittsburgh game and 2, 1 lost in the SF game. So it was actually 18 of 20 games with no fumbles lost and I'm sure we'd take that any 20 game stretch.

We're gonna see because McVay called him out like never before publicly. He's put it in JG's hands and has let everybody know where it rests. Will Goff respond? If he is that mature vet you speak of he will. If not, god help us.

Head? hands? awkwardness? Heads can be repaired. Awkwardness? take ballet lessons. Hands / grip strength could be a problem. Hit the gym kid.

As with all quarterbacks, interceptions are not always their fault. Look at the Bucs game. Henderson didn't seem to know it was coming his way on one. On the other Woods feet got tangled with the defender and he falls down. Sure, it was probably ill advised to make the throw into double coverage, but if Woods doesn't fall down I gotta that is an incomplete pass worst case. Maybe even a catch. Bad luck with that one.

But yeah, like you said, the fumbles are on him. Why he didn't slide on that one before the half if mind boggling. He's been pretty good at protecting himself before that game. But that wasn't the only one he went head first on a run. Was he trying to do too much?

You have to like the aggressiveness, take it on his shoulders to make the play approach. But he needs to learn to finish those positively. Go hang out with the Dodgers Jared and learn to slide. Heck go work your your Dad.
