Evans actually had his hand on the ball when Weddle committed to hitting him. The replay shows that and though it's unfortunate, it was a helluva hit!! Last but not least can we give some love to Brandon Powell? The guy has been great since we got him and in 2 postseason games, he's returned 5 punts for 79 yards which is 15.8 per return. He had a 21 and 33 yard return today and an 11 yard return vs Arizona. That guy is a keeper. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. OBJ has proven to still have "it". Eric Weddle's performance can not be overstated. He's been out of football 2 years and to not get embarrassed, let alone play pretty good when he's out there is phenominal. That hit on Evans is unfortunate. Evans actually had his hand on the ball when Weddle committed to hitting him. The replay shows that and though it's unfortunate, it was a helluva hit!! Last but not least can we give some love to Brandon Powell? The guy has been great since we got him and in 2 postseason games, he's returned 5 punts for 79 yards which is 15.8 per return. He had a 21 and 33 yard return today and an 11 yard return vs Arizona. That guy is a keeper. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there.
