i think the notion that "nike is running this" is a pretty big reach... nike works with teams, they don't come in and say "we've been hired by the league to redesign your uniforms, we're not interested in your input, we're the pro's, you'll have them by the start of next season".

in fact, from a recent article on the topic:

One thing's for sure: The horns aren't going anywhere. In an interview with The Athletic's Lindsay Jones, COO Kevin Demoff shared very minor details on the redesign.

"We've told Nike the one thing that is sacrosanct is the horns," Demoff said. "The goal is a modern take on our historical jerseys."

Knowing what Nike has done with college unis, I think the horns are going to get "modernized", more than anything else. Sure, we will see some different shades of blue and gold/yellow and probably some matte features as well. I think they are going to add texture and dimension to the horns - like a real horn of a real Ram animal with the striations and topography of a real Rams horn. Which frankly will look baddass IF they do it right. I think they will be or are going for a 3D looking image for the horns. But hey, that's just a wild guess on my part.

I don't think anyone knows exactly how and when the new unis will be revealed.

I have heard that we might see a new logo fairly soon, or at least sooner than the unis...

I wan't no part of 3D realistic looking horns, or Matte finishes. With Nike's track record I think I'm at about a 35% possibility of liking the new unis

The Jets release their new helmets and Uni on Apr 4 2019....

So most likely it will be around that time frame next year....

I feel you on that. I just see how nike pushed the envelope in college. Those designs will be presented. Now, whether they make the cut is another deal. I think we all have to accept there will be things we don't like and do like. I doubt anyone will be 100% happy as they aren't going to just use the current throwbacks or the old school blue and whites.
