Everyone's entitled to their opinion but the idea that there's some kind of scandal here is just nonsense, imo...

He did say that. But Goff under Fisher was like a lamb being lead to slaughter. That 0-7 run could have wrecked him permanently. Fish was right not to play him in his inept offense. When pressure / and a "concussion" forced Fishers hand to sit Case Keenum, enter the super green kid with no real playbook.

Remember headlines like these? :?

I agree with ED's take though. The horn was the one thing they should have left alone. Colors second.
The horn IS the Rams brand. The rest is far less important.

This Rams fan was so disappointed when ED left. As Bayless mentioned in the video clip, ED was the top of the NFL. The Rams "student body" system was working with the personnel Klosterman / Nagel / Robinson were putting together. Solid D, stud O-line, best RB, great WR's and solid TE's.. All we needed was an elite / top tier QB. Enter Everett - - Exit Dickerson. Oh what could have been.

Agreed with all of that Hacksaw! Oh what could have been is right! I was in the "pay the man" club back then. The man was a beast on the field!

To me it doesn't matter WHO said it, but what ED said is spot on. The horn is the brand. Why anyone would want to "mess with it" is only known to Mr. Dumoff.

ED might be "self centered" and had/has a big ego, but he is still one of my all time favs! I love how he says what's on his mind and doesn't try to be politically correct. To me, he is one of the greatest Rams to ever wear the horns!

I hate to say this,,, but the Horns have been changed through out history,,,
They were thick back in the early years of the rams history,,,
They got thinner by the time when we were mostly from this board a younger generation when the change was made from the royal blue & white to Royal blue and yellow... ppl were complaining back then too...

These new uni's are for the future younger generation,,,
Look at the players that received them,,,,, they seemed to love them...
You have a 50/50 split for the old timers,, and a 90% of the younger gen liking them..

I think the RAMs FO/Owner are thinking which will make more money? the newer ones...

Yes, they have changed the horns over the years but not anything as drastic as this. IMO, it doesn't even look like a horn anymore. This is like changing the Cowboys Star to an asterisk. This wasn't just fattening or changing the color of the horn, It is a full on neutering of the horn. BIG difference IMO.

Not sure about your numbers (or where you got them from) of 50-50 for old timers and 90% of younger. I have seen different polls that can show BOTH sides. There are some things I like about the new uni's but IMO, they could have been MUCH better without neutering the damn horn!

Obviously, you like the new uni and that is ok. Nobody is putting you down for liking them.

I'm sure you are correct 100% @69RamFan . This was a money decision like the Blueberries were.

Did those or these improve the uni? That's all a matter of opinion. But as I said above, and as much as I loved the Ferragamo roadies, I can live with most of the changes. Love the colors and alike.
BUT, the helmet horn is an unnecessary deal breaker for me and most in my circles agree.
At this point, even if they'd just curl up the ends I'd sign off (reluctantly).

It's true that the horns had been changing (getting skinnier and skinnier) over the years,, but that was the only deviation from the original 72 year old design. 72 years. What they've done now is akin to Dallas adding a 6th point on their star.

I just can't imagine anyone from the younger generation not buying into the new uniforms with the original 72 yr old helmet horns. Wider up front is all they had to do.

I just realized where I saw that "little stitch"...they stole it from the Bride of Frankenstein's hairdo!

Where I'm comparing the percentage,,, its just a guesstimate from the boards I've been on and the media outlets for the older gen... and the younger gen from Instagram...

Don't get me wrong,,, I love the old uni's related to the 60's and 70's on up to 94... I love the thick horns on the sleeves... but they did away with those too...

And I understand what you are saying about the horns on the helmet...

A live ram horn has growth grooves to it,,, and in my opinion,, the RAMs FO just made a futuristic and realistic look to it with a groove in the horn, the horn has this 3D look to it,,, to me it makes it look thicker too... JMO

Well just ordered one of the bone white jerseys. #17. I already have a Donald (signed) and Gurley in the colorsplash. Goff in the traditional blue and gold. Figured I go with the heart of the Rams receiving corps the last 3 years.
