True, but you're drifting. I was speaking of WR's not receivers. Higbee does look like the real deal and was a real bright spot yesterday.

But the WR corps? I just can't get enthusiastic about them being better than inept. I'm not demanding they find the next Calvin Johnson but it continues to be ridiculous that Rams fans have to get excited about Quick catching "a" pass. It's also hard not to assume that he's about as good as he's going to get at this point. If he hasn't been able to crack this lineup and be an obvious starter by now...well, it would be very unusual for him to suddenly emerge.

He was a horrible pick but I've been hoping he's the next Terrel Owens and just needed some experience. I think 4 years is patient enough, though. He's either in the wrong situation/system or he's just not a starting caliber WR.

I'm strongly in the camp that doesn't want Quick back, don't think he's worth a spot. But the WR on the field Saturday night didn't help the cause much
Good thing is that is why there are 4 pre-season games to figure it out
Back to Quick, I just cant point to one thing he does that makes me say "we gotta keep this guy"

Did anyone else think that Hemingway looked sluggish and a bit awkward or was he just stealth?

And on the positive side, I thought the D stuffed the run pretty well, seems that in the past we got ripped by some obscure nobody RB, but outside of losing contain on the QB, the rushing O was fairly non existant

They are definitely making the color look more like it does in the sunshine, which is closer the throwback. I think that most everyone prefers the Ferragamos and now that it is official and the Rams are playing in the Coliseum in front of the world, the question is going to be asked more often and their lame answer is going to more often resemble a resounding thud.

Still, the all white were a reasonable compromise, sort of,, almost,, well,, never mind.

Good thing since the starting middle linebacker was so frequently out of the TV frame the ball was in.

How many snaps did Tree even have? By the time I thought to look for him, he wasn't on the field
I have NO worries there....

Actually he was. lol.

Seriously, I watched him early on and he got himself out of position several times. The one series I paid the most attention too, he was out of position 3 plays in a row.

I only look for that stuff when there's rushing ydg up the guy. Which there wasn't any
Seems the action was on the edges, can see how he'd be out of position
That's where JL lack of speed was such a help. He was so slow he couldn't get out of position. Lol
