Nope.

When I played in a local flag football league, I was assigned the position of CB on defense, so Perry was a role model.

Alright this is my last guess. I know how much you liked Jack so I can't imagine you as a kid not trying to emulate him in some way. And if I recall correctly you played some receiver or wanted to play receiver.

Sooo.... #4 is the lie

I don't believe that. Everybody wanted to be Nolan Cromwell.

Billy Waddy has to be the lie.

Yes it was!

Location, location, location.

I was part of a very large group that assisted the athletes entering the Coliseum.

I was more or less worthless since it was so well organized. And all so well prepared.

"High fives" were kind of still new back then and everyone wanted to do it. It was amazing. So much dancing. :)

Jack’s the lie.

I was small and fast. I was a huge Youngblood fan, but I never saw myself as a DE.

As a kid I played receiver and db both ways due to skillset.
The names you listed would exclude #1 jack youngblood if you were like me emulating your positional heroes.
#1.

EDIT: Didn't see your response above ^^^^^^

Playing organized football as a kid, I used to envision myself a cross between Willie Ellison and Clancy Williams but my coach saw it differently. On offense, my number was only called on 3rd and short and on defense I was put at MLB. I used to think it was a lack of speed but now I'm sure he was just a disgruntled Eagles fan.

Interesting. As a kid, and I'm talking pre-teens, I don't recall putting that much logic into my imagination. I started playing organized tackle football at the age of 9. I played some at HB, FB, OL, DL, S. We played 8 man fronts on D and O we had 3 backs, maybe one WO. There was very little passing. Most of us were relatively the same size. You had your chubby kids and your tall kids but basically athleticism won out.
So, whenever we got together for a "sandlot" game I imagined myself being any one of my Rams heroes. Anyway that's just me.

Awesome thread !!
Thanks for starting it.
