Of course, would anyone else either? I don't know.

I dont think he would let his production drop per game, but in total it will
No they wouldnt, but they could offer a 1 year prove it deal with tons of incentives
I believe he is a generational talent, far superior to any other DT thats played in a long time.
So his leverage (which is not much) is in the idea that if they are going to trade him, they wont be getting max value, they would be trading low

I don't think the Rams have any intention on trading Donald. He will wear the horns or he will sit at home and watch on TV.

I do know that he USED to be one of my favorite players. Now I know he is only in it for himself. That's his choice. My choice is to no longer respect him.

Not my style.

Idk what I would do.

What would you do?

Scream right back about how the Rams are great and the Whiners suck. It has happened many, many times.

You guys do know that "fan" is short for "fanatic", and not "reasonable, well thought through and deliberate analyst", right?

I'm a fan as much as you are but I'm not delusional, I'm objective and I can handle the truth.

Our team has sucked for years now.

I respect his game. But if he isn't playing the game then there isn't much else left to respect.

It's not cut and dry that he's under team control for 4 years

The only problem with that leverage is father time. He's 26 this year, 27 next season. If they don't franchise him he'll get a good deal from somebody. If they do franchise him, he could be 30 before he hits free agency. Of course he's in great shape and an actual beast on the field so he may still get a huge payday. But I don't know that many 30/30+ guys getting the deal of their career at that age. And then there's the injury possibility. He needs to get the most he can NOW and the only place he's going to get that is with the Rams, being under contract for 2 more years and all. Sometimes you just gotta admit, this is the best I can do under these circumstances.

I dont know how they franchise him if his numbers arent there. What if they dont put the 5th year on Gurley's deal and then he blows up in year 4??
I just think the idea of slapping him with a 16 mill + pay day isnt such an absolute
Still though, I cant see him playing this year on his current deal anyway

What bothers me is guys like Le'Veon Bell and Odell Beckham Jr playing under their circumstances. Does Donald have more of an impact on the Rams record than those two do for the Steelers and Giants? It's really getting aggravating now.
