Good. I have more faith in Jeannie than Jimmy.

Undrafted Free Agent

Probably would be a good move for the Lakers to at least take control away from Jimmy. He has shown nothing but ineptitude since his father's passing. I'm not sure getting rid of Kupchak would be a good move. However, he hasn't had all that much to count on in terms of success. It is coming to a crucial part in the Lakers' future after Kobe hangs them up. No identity and the luster of a great past is starting to patina. It will be important to get someone who can appeal to the upcoming free agents and see if there is a big splash to be made. This franchise is not used to losing. It shouldn't become a comfortable level to get used to and that means a shake-up is probably going to come sooner than later.

Tough to move forward with a 175 pound Kobe to drag around.

13 games and counting for KB 8/24. He's a stud who need to be in the pasture now.

Glad to hear there may be some front office movement. However I would hang on to Mitch until Jerry West decides to come back home. Heck if the Rams can make it back, so could Gentleman Jerry.
I have to guess we may see a return of Phil Jackson in a GM role if Jeannie takes over. Not sure that is a good idea though.

KOBE BEAN BRYANT !! Dude rolls out in his last game of an incredible 20 year career and not only is able to play in the game, and finish healthy,, he plays 40 + minutes, scores the winning points, outscores the Jazz team in the 4th qtr and scores 60 points in regulation. Unbelievable. GOAT.

That final game was awesome. Brought back memories of the excitement he brought us when they were winning championships. I know it was a meaningless win in the grand scheme of things. But Kobe put the final stamp on his legacy. Now its on to the next chapter of Lakers basketball. Time to pass the torch over to the youngsters. Russell, Clarkson and Randle are going to be the core of a young team. The next draft pick might be too. We'll see how well they drafted.

I know its going to take a couple more years. But I'd like to see some progress in the form of wins next year. These guys know how to make plays but they need to learn how to win. Its going to take good coaching and Byron Scott does not provide that.
