Apparently millions of people. I'm not a fanboy of his but he's a highly successful pundit.

Just bc you don't agree with him doesn't make him a loser.

Ok ... so you can't come up with a definition of what "shut him down" means, I get that.... But you're the one who used it.

Move on? No. Not me ... I hold grudges.

The Rams got cheated out of the SB trophy from the 2001 season.... I will take that grudge to my grave. (I'm taking grudges of the immaculate reception and the snow job to my grave too)

Carry on is more like it.

Seven more days and this team has to defend our own turf without the greatest player in the NFL.

I prefer to have the best player in the NFL on my team.

I can't argue against you on that as I have never listened to any opinion he has made.

But riddle me this ... Why are the Rams paying a $17 million dollar ransom to a player worth not much more than $7 mill and yet they are not willing to pay $20 mill to the best player in the NFL?

No, because he rants like a loser he is a loser. ESPN is doing just great, haven't you heard?

First, you are assuming your "facts" are true. Do you know what the Rams are and are not willing to do?

Second, ONLY PFF thinks Donald is the "best" player in the NFL. He is likely the best DT, definitely in the top 2 or 3.

Would you trade AD for Aaron Rodgers? How about Julio Jones? How about Khalil Mack, or 5 or 6 other top tier QBs I won't bother to list.

He is the best player on the Rams, but not the league.

Just to play devils advocate:

If I wanted to play hardball, and shut his negotiation down. I tell his agents he's in camp by Tuesday or I sit him for the season.

Then I sit him next season.

Then I tag him and sit him for that season.

Then I tag him again and sit him for half of that season. Then I try to trade him out side of the division. If I get nothing, oh well, he goes to FA the rest of the league can fight for his contract and hurt their own cap, if I get even a draft pick great. It'd be really interesting to see what the league would be willing to pay for a guy who hasn't played in 4 years.

Of course this is just me being petty, and I'm sure there are loop holes galore that would prevent me from doing this, or that it would go to league arbitration or something. But again, this is just a devils advocate, what if, kind of response.

Personally I want AD back. A LOT!! But I don't agree with putting him above the rest of the team, even if he is the only proven talent we have, and a generational talent at that. To me, this sets a bad example for the rest of the team to hold out when their time comes.

Lets say they have career seasons; Will Watkins do it, Goff, Gurley? What happens to our roster if every time we have talent they hold a gun to our heads? We just continue on with 1 or 2 future HOFer's and the rest are filler? I thought we wanted to make the playoffs and get another SB win? Letting the players dictate the direction of the team won't get us there.

To me it sounds like the Rams are being more than fair, generous even, so I don't see a point in this hold out at all. The longer this goes on the more I see AD as the guilty party, he IS under contract. Regardless of how fair the current contract is, and he is not honoring it. From what we've heard the Rams have offered him everything they can, and are trying to come up with "creative solutions" to give even more.

I'm starting to believe Donald is unwilling to negotiate, and wants all the benefits. Huge money, short term, and as big of a Donald fan as I am I'm still not cool with that. Huge money long term cool. Good money, short term, less cool but ok. But you can't have both, and I wouldn't be happy if he got it.

Of course none of this can be backed up with facts. It's all still rumor and speculation.

Sorry for the short novel.

I doubt you could do better.

Since moving from ESPN2 to ESPN on January 3rd, the show’s audience (P2+) has increased 12%. During the same time frame, First Take‘s “reach” – the total number of people who watch the show in the course of a month – is 63% larger, according to ESPN Media Zone.

Molly Qerim, Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman have averaged 445,000 viewers, up 12% from 397,000 for the show on ESPN2 in same time period a year ago. In the key demographic of Men 18-34, First Take has increased its audience by 17%, jumping from 94,000 impressions to 110,000.

Not only are more people watching the show, but the audience is also younger and more diverse.

The average age has dropped year-to-year from 42 to 41.
The African-American composition of the audience now stands at 53%, which is up from 46%.
Stephen A. Smith's Salary. Stephen A. Smith net worth and salary: Stephen A. Smith is an American sports media figure who has a net worth of $10 million. Stephen A. Smith earns an annual salary of $2.5 millionfrom ESPN plus another $1 million from his Sirius/XM radio show.

He also has 3.6 mill Twitter followers. I think it's the most for any sports media pundit guy.

I'd rather have AD than any of them.

And I've probably seen more video of Mack than anyone on this board ... and as a Raider fan, I love the guy ... but I value Donald over Mack any day.

I'm not talking about ESPN lol

Anyways idc I'm gnna let it go. You probably think I'm a loser anyway.

I'll say this tho. If Stephen A Smith backed the Rams and you agreed with his opinion, you wouldn't call him a loser.

That's how it is nowadays. I see it on Twitter all the time. Whenever someone doesn't agree with a media guys opinion they say nasty things about the person.
