PARAM wrote:Watching the first of those "five" important games, I started to feel like I was a bad human being. My dislike of ARod is immense and I've taken great pleasure in his failures. When he played just 4 snaps for the Jets last year I was happy about it. After the Rams beat him this year I smiled for a couple of days. When he was sacked in the third quarter today making him the most sacked QB in history I laughed out loud. And shortly thereafter when he threw a pick and got flagged for unnecessary roughness (contact out of bounds) for a sissy push, I guffawed!!! Bad human or not, I enjoy the failure of an extremely arrogant, me first player in the ultimate team game. 4 MVPs, just 1 title and far too much adoration by the sports media. I almost hope he doesn't retire so he can further my enjoyment.

PARAM, from most of your posts you seem to be a pretty decent guy and I assume a lot younger than me. Your hatred of ARod is probably a distant 2nd to my feelings about Montana, Rice, Brady, et, al. Ad in past Vikings, Cowboys teams and many sports figures I deemed arrogant, over rated and basically obnoxious. What the years have given me is perspective and now I fully appreciate what they did bring to their sports. Incredible, generational, talent. My best memories of Brady are 3 sacks by Reeder vs Tampa Bay and AD making his life miserable. ARod is in the moment. Enjoy the descent but know you may come to appreciate and even respect your greatest foes in years to come.

A couple of things.......

I already appreciate Rodgers talent and the fact he had to sit 3 years behind the original arrogant asshole. But he turned out just like him. Instead of texted pictures of his junk, we got cleanses and darkness retreats. Both were ego-driven, me over we assholes.

And I'm 68. I thought anybody a lot older than I wouldn't know how to work the "interweb". My age might be why I don't respect a guy like ARod.

Looking very good for a Minnesota win right now. If that holds we only need 1 more game out of 3 (Browns, Wash, SF) to clinch this week. And only 1 more out of 11 total (this week and next week) to win division.

Realistically, our best shot is Wash beating Atl tonight to clinch this week. Otherwise, we’re probably playing next Saturday cause it’s only 99.9999% that we clinched. 😂

I think we lost the Strength of Schedule advantage this week with the Giants winning. Don’t ask me why. Way too complicated.

Got a couple years on ya but yeah, a lot of history and players to hate. lol. Despite this 2nd doink by the Vikings kicker I feel the 4th Q 27-10 lead is pretty safe. Love is good but he ain’t Fav-rah or ARod. Looks like it’ll be down to the Commanders to deliver the West to the best, LA RAMS!

I assuming 2 things that I think are safe bets: WAS beats ATL tonight at home and TB beats NO next week at home.

So we'd be clinched tonight and lose the tiebreaker with TB for seeding if we lose next week. Is the 3 seed worth playing starters for? #3 would play WAS or GB (WAS has DAL next week) and #4 would play loser of the DET vs. MIN game. I would...not only for a better matchup but trying to get the offense out of its funk.

IIRC, same scenario existed in 2017 with 3 and 4 seeds undecided, and McVay passed on playing starters and we lost. But NO lost to a 4-11 TB team, so we got the 3 anyway.

We’ll have to see if the Giants disrupted things but the Commanders are up next. The Network should cover it if it means the Rams would be in.

If Washington wins tonight the Rams clinch the division. And there’s no reason for the Rams to be moved to prime time Saturday.

This is not true for either team. Either could have lost this week and still have been alive.

Seattle could have lost and stayed alive if the Rams lost to AZ. The Rams would've still be alive next week no matter what happened this week.

But both won which brought SOV into play and now if Washington wins or ties, Rams have clinched the NFC West and Seattle has been eliminated from the playoffs.

I guess since it affected the Rams, the Vikings game had to be stressful at the end...
