Congrats on winning the Regular Season!!!! Tough to do.

Off we go to the playoffs.

I did 't know you took the Falcons. You're right. I got lucky to get that back door cover with the meaningless TD's at the end of the game.

Thanks. You're been doing great, and have been making it very difficult on me. Good luck in the playoffs.

Man, RamsFanSince82 and RedAlice pulled away from the field there at the end.
Well done!

How do the playoffs work now?

Welcome everyone to the big table with your varying degrees of chips! The next 4 rounds of the NFL playoffs will be the see the heaviest action of any games in the world for the year. Fortunes will be won and lost. The NFL playoffs have made or broke many professionals year after year.

After a grueling regular season of picking virtually every single match up every week, our RRF players should have a distinct advantage over the common public in having the skinny on the teams in the playoff hunt. That being said, the lines are going to be sharper and the teams are better. Making every single catch, penalty, extra point, turnover or challenge crucial. And as we get into the later rounds, there won't be much wiggle room, as there won't be any "bad teams left to pick against". Its win or go home. I wrestled with making the super bowl week so significant. I came to the conclusion that to be crowned "champion" you must be able to pick the single biggest game of the season. Unless of course you can go into super bowl week with a 50+ point lead...

Playoff Week Point Multipliers (you earn points{2pointsfor a win} x multipier value):
Wildcard Weekend (4 games): 3
Divisional Playoffs (4 games): 5
Conference Championships (2 games): 10
Superbowl (1 game): 25

Normal week:

(15 games)

Win = 2 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0

perfect score = 30 points
perfect score over 17 weeks = 510 points

Playoffs:

Perfect score in playoffs = 154 points

Multiplier

pickem3.png

Wildcard week:

4 games
Multiplier set at 3

Win = 2 x 3(multiplier) = 6 points
Tie = 1 x 3 = 3 points

perfect score of 4-0 = 24 points

Divisional playoffs

4 games
Multiplier set at 5

Win = 2 x 5(multiplier)= 10 points
Tie = 1 x 5= 5 points
Perfect score of 4-0 = 40 points

Conference Championship

2 games

Multiplier = 10

Win = 2 x 10(multiplier)= 20 points
Perfect score of 2-0 = 40 points
1-1 = 20 points
0-2 = 0 points

Superbowl

Multiplier = 25

1 game

win = 2 x 25 = 50 points

Best of luck all.

You have to do better than 52.4% at -110 so i didn't quite make the cut...

Was that for picking every game or cherry picking each week?

Thanks 64 for the very detailed explanation on how the play-offs work for this game.

I didn't read the math parts closely, but seems like each week is weighted to be the same amount of points as the regular season. I think.

Also seems like any player can still win then.

Off we go.

They are within reason. The Wildcard week is less than a regular season week. Divisional and Conference Championship are slightly more than a regular week. And the SuperBowl is one more step up worth 50 points!
