Frustrating game; big mistakes and dumb penalties.

But they showed that they can compete with the so called best.

Ultimately the uniform choice did them in. :D

I hope the Rams fans that sold their tickets made incredible profits to justify this.

Good first half game plan, great first half effort but they just don't have the horses to play with better teams. Still...they remained in the game longer than I expected and even managed to cover the spread.

69RamFan wrote:My assessment After watching the first game.

I'm comparing our 2023 team vs our 2021 SB team from the beginning of the season

Offense:

I feel our 2023 OL is better and deeper then our 2021 season.

Whit was the best on the OL, but we upgraded in the middle with both G & C,
So that makes it better as a whole.

QB/same

TE/same

RB/ upgraded with Cam Akers

WR/ I say we upgraded with the addition of Puka,

and the experience of Tutu and Jefferson after two years.

And we still have Kupp coming back.

ST:

P/K/LS/ same

Defense:

DL: We still have AD and he makes everyone around him better,
So can B. Brown, Turner & Brown IV, hold up the middle?
I say so far its a split from the 2021 season.

OLB: So far Young is showing he could be special as Floyd playing next to AD,
we still have other young OLB in Mathis waiting for him to come out of the IR.
So I'll call this a split.

ILB: Upgraded/moved into starting role/Jones gained exp

DB:
CB: Yes we lost a shut down CB in Ramsey,
but I feel we upgraded as a whole,
with the addition of Durant, Kendrick, Witherspoon, & Tomlinson
S: I feel we upgraded there too. With Fuller, Yeast, Johnson & Lake

I'm convinced that our offensive is better,
our ST is the same,
and our Defense is still yet to be determined,
but not far behind from the 2021 team. IMO

Based off todays game against the 9ers,

I'm happy with the results even after the lost.

We are not far behind from being a top team,

We are a playoff team and will get better as the season comes along.

As my assessment in where our team stands, I think I nailed it.

I'm excited about our OL,
If Noteboom did not get injured,
We were keeping Stafford clean against a very great defense.

As for the game,
We didn't take advantage in the end of the 2nd qtr, when we went up 7,
our defense let the 9ers tied the game before the half.

As for our DL, we need to set the edge better on the run game.
and just gave up that long run by CM, but besides that,
we played pretty good against the run.

ON passing downs, we need to get more pressure.

But what killed us, was that first INT,
It wasn't Stafford fault on that pass,
Williams needed to catch that ball.
It seemed like he wanted to run first before catching it.

He will learn this week,
in catching the rock first before making the next move.

I'm not happy with the lost,
But I'm happy with what I saw from this team as a whole showing against a top playoff team.

As I stated, we will make the playoffs.

Leaving the game now. Always looks worse on the screen. Anyway, they got it about 4x to 5x. Is they enough?

Just to let you know,
most of those seats are own by agents and not from the fans.
Kroenke had to sell the SSL to agents get his money back to build Sofi.
You have at least two generations that needs to be build up again.
You have around 35k to 40k of actually diehard fans that have those SSL,
and those are the ones that can afford them.
So it will take some time before we start seeing more RAMs fan buying those seat, and it will most likely be a hire price.
Plus I wonder, If the RAMs organization has some deal with these agents,
that they must sell their seats after a certain time frame,
If I buy want to purchase a SSL.
Only time will tell.
