looks like it's working! btw you can still just type in @ followed by the username, but you no longer get the dropdown list as before, i used another script for that which appears at the top of the posting box which you of course found...

You should definitely do another announcement thingie so everyone knows about this new feature! (The banner that pops up above the forums and goes away once you click on it). Great work A1! 8-)

When in a forum, is there something that indicates if one has posted in a particular thread? I thought it might be the icon with the paper on the left hand side, that if the corner was folded down it meant you had posted in that thread but they all seem to be folded down. If it's gold or white means there are new posts, but I sometimes lose track of which threads I've posted in and would like a way to tell.

I guess there's probably a subscribe option but those usually bog down my e-mail. Is there something useful that I'm missing?

- the gold paper icon means the thread has posts you haven't read.

- the white paper icon means you've looked at every page in the thread and, presumably, have read the posts, i.e. no unread posts.

- the little blue icon with the folded corner will appear only when there is a gold paper icon, i.e. only when there is a thread with posts you haven't read, clicking the little blue paper icon will take you directly to the first unread post in the thread.

- you can subscribe to any thread without getting emails. go your notification settings and set them the way you would like. you can get to to your notification settings by a) clicking the red notification circle (if you have notifications) / envelope (if you don't) at the top right of any page next to your username, from there click the + icon at the bottom of the dropdown list or b) go to your control panel (dashboard > my panel (under navigation heading) - once there, click the "board preferences" tab and then "edit notification options" on the left.

- there are also several other ways to keep on top of post/thread activity by using the dashboard, select any of the links under the "activity" header.

hoping for a little help from the rfu gang.... if you view the rfu forum from a desktop, laptop or tablet, and your screen resolution is set to 100% (default), can you please send me a couple of full screen shots of the forum as it appears on your display, one with the dashboard open, one with it closed? also, please make sure your browser is set to 100% before taking the screen grab and, if possible, please include what your viewing the forum on, i.e. pc 1920 x 1080, laptop 1366 x 768, etc... you can post the screen grab in this thread or pm me with it... thanks a ton guys!
