Ramsey wanted his contract guaranteed, Florio (of all people) wrote about this. Plus Ramsey is 29 now. You could say, he signed his contract as it is, he should be forced to honor it but that's not how the Rams roll and we saw what happened when Ramsey wasn't happy in Jacksonville.

I think this is a huge part of it. Ramsey is a great player but likely on the downside. The Rams were not going to give him all that guaranteed money so Ramsey would have been unhappy to stay. The Rams are clearly not afraid to move on.

Also, it seems the days of being forced to honor a contract in the NFL are over. The Rams acted accordingly.

We got what we got bc of his salary. But ya, we shoulda got picks next year at least. Unless Long is someone the Rams have good intel on. TE is a difficult position to learn transition to from college to pro. Maybe he will come on as a Ram???

Cooper Kupp what’s the deal? probably he will play. Determining his injury do they become real cautious with that and bring him back next season like is this an Odell thing?

Apparently Rams did like the TE coming out of the draft.

I expect the Rams to try and keep Gaines. I expect Rams will go defense in the draft but also a few picks on offense. They want high powered O again while defense matured . Next year we will have 81 mill in cap if we trade Arob too.
