Our defense is killing is. WTF is it with this soft coverage. Our defense makes Garappolo look like the GOAT, which he is obviously not against the rest of the league, but against the Rams D, he should be in Canton

What an agonizing loss.

Morris has no clue how to adjust the defensive scheme in game.

I hate to say it but this season is a loss; the O-line is in taters.

Tickets are easy to get and plenty are available for resale so any motivated visiting fan bases can and will be a major presence, not just the Niners. But not every game either.

My section is terrible. Just about every seat is owned by resellers, never see any of the same people and even for a team that didn't travel well like Carolina, probably half my section was Panthers fans...

That stinks. I have about 10 people around me that more or less come to each game. We have started a group and trade tickets etc…. It’s fun as I always feel I have Ramily in come to. But 16 seats in a row next to me are all resellers.
I hope the market place opens and we can move around to more Ramily they show up to the game. If I was truly surrounded by other fans, it would certainly take from the experience.
I think I have finally gilted those around me to swap tickets rather than selling.

I have a question. What happened at halftime? A 14-10 lead in the first half became 58 yards in the last 30 minutes! Where were the screens that worked so well? The jet sweeps? Is there some kind of unwritten rule "if it works in the first half, those plays are doomed to fail in the 2nd half"?

My .02, and I’ve been feeling this since the start of the year, they are not explosive. Everyone would think Rams and big play offense in the past, but this year’s team has to grind for every score they get and they can’t do that with an below average OL and below average RBs.

On the WR end they obviously have Kupp, but god forbid he gets taken out via coverage. Where is the second player who can make a big gain or big td? Even if Robinson finds some type of rhythm, he is more of a post-up, move the chains type we and not a deep threat. They need to at least use someone like Tu Tu to just run 3 deep plays? Maybe VJ. They simply don’t have a legit second big play maker on Off. Not via RB or WR

Defenses don’t fear the big play so can stack the box without fear and know that single coverage will take care of the rest. They don’t respect the threat of a big play and to be punished by blitzing or overlaying the LOS.

But they didn't need big plays in the first half. Two TD drives totaling 16 plays, 160 yards and 4 ticks shy of 15 minutes. How? Screens, jet sweeps, creativity. Then after halftime those play calls disappeared.

Is that deep threat a chicken/egg thing? Is it we don't have the deep threat so teams can load the box or is it when teams load the box and apply pressure, there's no time to go deep? FWIW, I believe VJ is a competent deep threat. Not a speedster but he caught his share of deep balls last year.

Lol, @ the people who thought Jefferson would be the savior. He's a WR3. Nothing more. He's not gonna transform this offense into what it was last year.

All we can do is realize the 49ers are a team we cannot beat. If we played them ten times this year we'd be 0-10 against them. So we can hope that things will be better against other teams. And the 49ers have a hard time beating anyone but the Rams.

Next Sunday will tell us if we are a playoff caliber team. 8 weeks into the season and we still don't know. 4-4 puts us in the mix. 3-5 probably means we should either be glad we didn't give up picks for a trade or wish we kept them. I'm leaning towards keeping them. I'm not sure there is a trade out there that will improve us enough, if at all.
