Some people are speculating, probably sarcastically, that the Rams know there won't be a 2020 and are taking the cap hits now to get lean and mean for 2021. I doubt that's serious but it could become a thing if the 2020 season starts to genuinely seem in doubt and i imagine the NFL would have to figure out how to manage what teams would likely do in a situation like that.

Meanwhile Rams make it official:

The thought crossed my mind about the 2020 season.

I just dont think Cooks is the down field threat that many of us thought, myself included. I think he is solid to good but with his size and small catch radius he definitely has his limitations. IMO he wasnt nearly as impactful as I expected him to be. I understand now why he was traded twice.

Yep, I am sure he isnt going to extend a RB early for big money that is for sure. Wonder how this could effect Ramsey contract, I know not the same, but....

I would think something like that would never happen.

Even if a team projected the season to be postponed, they would still need a plan for the opposite outcome.

I can't see an NFL team mailing it in. Way too much testosterone to give up before they even start. JMO

When the O-Line plays poorly like it did last year, most of the playmakers will have a tough season. The concussions on top of that just flattened Cooks.

You dudes are something else, you can’t counter with anything football related, so you reduce the discussion to this.

You brought up other receivers and I explained The differences.

The only thing that moved is your nerve.

Pffffttt
Your point was about separation, wasn't it? In terms of separation there are some other names on the list that don't rate well either yet are still productive. So, separation may not be as pivotal an indicator as you implied.

Bringing contested catches into a conversation about separation is moving the goal posts. I don't think anyone here would argue against the idea that Cooks is less than desirable in that regard. But, your point wasn't about that. Assuming people would make that leap in deduction is on you, not on them.

These next gen stats are remarkable. Tells us everything. If you want to know, just look at the next gen numbers and they'll settle any debate. And if they don't, you can always add a variation. :roll2:

Where does Brandin Cooks rank among the "top" receivers drafted in 2014? What receivers proved worth their draft slot? Who didn't?
