Trying to use mobile, but I need to download app?

Click on "CHAT" in the nav bar from RFU and that should take you to the RFU chat but i haven't tried it on mobile yet so maybe that's wrong...

I’m using the mobile app - that’s correct.

By clicking the link in the Chat button here, you are immediate invited and taken to the RFU chat.

If you already use Discord, it will show up on the left as one of your chat groups. You can toggle between them.

looks like more than a few rfu members have taken the new chat for a spin - more importantly, it looks like most were able to get up and running pretty quickly!

for the time being i think this is our best chat alternative, but i'm going to keep looking...

pros:
- seems pretty fast
- nice layout imo, much more of a chat look/feel
- seems to display well on mobile devices
- fairly easy to sign up and hit the ground running
- fun, easy to use emojis
- tag and mention features
- like feature (which is very nice, something the old chat lacked)
- can upload almost anything into a post, 8mb limit (iirc)
- seems much more stable than the rfu chat
- won't require any rfu server resources

cons:
- no rfu branding capability in terms of changing color scheme or adding header images
- no ability to quote someone
- lots of features that can't be hidden, which we will probably never use (clutter)
- a separate site that requiring separate registration, i.e. not integrated into rfu

I still can’t figure out how to get to the RFU portion of it. I clicked on chat here, then downloaded the discord app, registered, and it didn’t take me to the RFU section nor can I find it in search. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried clicking on chat here after you registered?

Yes I tried that as well. When I click on chat it does give me the invite link but then it takes me to the App Store which is where I have to hit open to get to the app (instead of it just taking me straight to the app via the link)

I'll just be using names to address people then. Sooooooooooo..... real life. It feels weird.
I just hope comments don't lost in the shuffle when the chat room is jumping on game day.

The integrated chat had one thing going for it............. it was kinda slow....... so it indirectly kept the chat neat. This is way fast so there's gonna be comments flying in.
