I undertand you. I’m gonna make the plunge and say McVay places so much emphasis on health that he doesn’t want his skill O or D players taking so many unnecessary hits. I was thinking of Kupp or a significant backup DB in this case.

i think you're right fan since 89.. mcvay wasn't risking starters to fill a dangerous void..

that being said, natson did one hell of a job today, and the love shown in the lockeroom after the game by the other players, when he got a game ball, was epic... you could tell they appreciated his over the top effort...

i think he only took one fair catch... showing real heart, from deep in the pressure cooker.. punt returning is a brutal part of the game.. and the cards were punting all day.. and natson came to play..

JoJo looks explosive and more importantly he is solid catching and holding on to the ball

agree, he appeared to be super confident and able when tracking/fielding the ball, zero hint of adventure, and once he tucked it, look out... iirc m.thomas would have been the next guy up had he not been battling his own health stuff, a lot had to happen for jojo to get his chance... anyway, great day for jojo, altho i loved pulling for and watching coop, such a bummer he's ir'd.

If Thomas wasn't injured, JoJo never gets the call up. I thought he looked excellent today. If he keeps it up he will make the decision to activate cooper difficult as Coop wouldn't see a lot of offensive snaps anyway. too many weapons ahead of him in the pecking order.

Everett looked great on his lone catch as did Higbee. hope those guys get more and more involved as the season progresses.

Natson on the jet sweep would be pretty filthy as well.
