I've been posting here a few weeks, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this place (if this is the wrong sub-board for this, I apologize and understand if it is relocated).

Some of you may know me from another board where I spend many years (including several as a Moderator). I've also dabbled on a few other boards. I'm not going to bash any other site, but I will say that I'm very glad to be here and feel that I've found my new home board for Rams talk.

There are many reasons for this...

The site looks great.
The activity level is excellent.
The Mods are cool.

But, more than anything, I feel like there is an overall mood of optimism here. That, unfortunately (even coming off a playoff year) is not a given. On other boards, I've often felt like I was constantly battling those who seem to think that optimism and realism are incompatible. I've sensed none of that here.

Anyway... just wanted to say I'm glad to be here and looking forward to a great season at RFU!

As for the positive mental outlook, the Rams are doing that.

We have our share of realists and skeptics but these Rams are doing a great job of winning them over...

yep, the optimism is finally warranted, earned, a far cry from having to take the word of the head coach and/or front office, that next season will be better, after yet another year of losing football.

anyway, like fans, boards are funny, and balance is tough... personally i'm not big on blind optimism as the titanic makes its way to the ocean floor, or praising owners, front office personnel, coaches or players who don't get the job done... nor am i big fan of blasting a team after a solid season, just because it fell short of lombardi glory.

that said, rfu rocks, awesome board and, avengeram, you're a great addition, welcome!
