Cooks is the real deal, imo. Every image I've seen of him, he seems locked into what's going on on the field. I think he brings an intensity that Sammy simply doesn't bring. After a year like last year, it's good to bring someone in who's fresh and can instill new energy as well as a great skillset.
If the line stays close to intact this year, we'll see Goff closer to 4500 yards than 4000, imo.

IIRC, someone on NFL network compared his 40 yd speed being similar to Watkins’ speed. But the difference was Cooks plays faster on the field than Watkins. I wish Watkins the best, but if he couldn’t get on the same page as Goff, then let’s just be amicable and move on. Plus, with McVay wanting Cooks since last, offseason, I’m sold. #InMcVayITrust

I think it's even more than game speed. Cooks plays with heart and Sammy was hit and miss. Sammy has a ton of talent, but there is something missing IMHO. I think Cooks is a flat out #1 stud wide out.

"we'll move the chains", how sweet is that to long suffering rams who pulled for a team that was the polar opposite, a team that couldn't move the chains? a look at where the rams have ranked during the last 10 years in 3rd down conversion rate:
