Hacksaw wrote:That sounds like you're telling my story but in reverse. I couldn't bear to watch them the first year in St Louis and tried every other team but couldn't get the passion for anyone.
Year two though I looked around the league again and the St Louis gave me that feeling.
Not liking the owner sucks but it isn't the most important thing...

Glad you can enjoy your team again and I'm glad you'll join us in discussions .
The RAMS look like they're going to be a fun ride.

HORNS UP
Go Rams

Me too. I didn't like GF for what she did. So I understand the hate for Stan. But what it all came down to was winning for me. I honestly believe Stan cares more about winning than GF ever did. And he has a better idea how to than she ever did too. When he bought the team I was excited and it had nothing to do with the possibility of moving them back home. I felt our chances of winning improved with him.

IlliniRam68 wrote:That's good to hear. I loved the Rams as a kid, and of course during their time in STL. I had season tickets all 21 seasons. I have to admit, I got pretty sour for a while after they left, but that's worn off. I'm going to enjoy it as entertainment and try to ignore who is in the owner's box.

Welcome!

Good group here.

I spent many weekends in STL to see our Rams play. Happy to have any and all Rams fans chitter chatter w us here.

Awww. But we still love you.

You actually have grown a lot as a super sour poster as you define it. I enjoy reading your input.

It’s all our Rams.

"Any Given Sunday" was on TV recently. I couldn't but help laugh at Ann Margret's roll as Georgia.

Was it?

Totally off topic. But Trevor Hoffman was inducted into the Hall of Fame today.

As a girl living in San Diego and having seen him come into the game with the sound of Hell’s Bells so many times, was fun to watch.

My friend goes, isn’t that who Charlie Sheens character in Major League is based on?

I actually don’t know.

I'm not a Padres fan, but I thought this was cool.

Not 100%, but close enough. Space cadet widow team owner who couldn't give one rats ass about what's on the field?

Plus what about John C. McGinley playing a Jim Rome like character who gets attacked by a quarterback?

Omg! So cute.

I honestly didn’t even know what he looks like. He’s just the dude who walks in and closes to Hells Bells while the stadium goes nuts.

So adorable. Thanks for sharing. And good for him and his family.

San Diego icon.

As you can tell, I don’t follow baseball much.

I don’t think I’ve seen this movie. I’ll look it up.

My secular world knowledge lags sometimes.

ETA: 1999. Yeah, ok I missed it. I’ll watch it.

Live in the STL area, was upset for about 2 days after the move, got over it. Follow the rams closely online, may go to a game in Indy if the rams play there. Was going to the Tenn game, was too close to christmas, had family obligations. Will admit, any financial hardships that would come Kroenkes way would put a smile on my face.
