He's not even good at what he preaches

Ground and pound? Rams have 72 rushing yards from their running backs in two games. They've never consistently run well with him as coach. His offensive lines have always been poor or injured.

Defense? Sure some games, but they got gashed today by Washington on the ground. His secondary is always inconsistent. Remember last year when they couldn't sack the QB for 5 games?

Discipline? Hardly. With ground and pound and a defensive philosophy you expect it, but they're always one of the most penalized teams in the NFL.

Consistency? None. Effort waxes and wanes throughout the year. I have no clue what team shows up next week.

His best seasons as coach came between 1999-2003, a long, long time ago.

Fisher hasn't had a winning season in 5 straight.

Obviously a lot depends on the rest of this year but i think the answer to snack's question is probably no.

Still, there's still a lot of football to be played this year, and i'll be watching...

Too bad Fisher isn't the GM with a coach who can win. That would be ideal. He does know how to acquire talent on the defensive side of the ball. Offense, not so much.

Fisher is a unique .500 coach.

When he wins he looks like a 12-4 guy, and when he loses he looks like a 4-12 guy. That 12-4 look is his saving grace in terms of keeping his job. But when you stand back and look at the broad landscape of his body of work, the cumulative numbers tell the tale.

My guess is that Kroenke will keep Fisher to make the move to LA. And besides, Kroenke is a mediocre team owner himself. None of his teams have had long term success.

I can easily see the Rams continuing their mediocre ways in LA and Kroenke eventually being forced to fire Fisher because of poor attendance.

Fish will coach one season in the Coliseum, maybe 2 if they suddenly turn it around. If the team fails to hit even 500% either this season or next in LA, he will be replaced. I hope we keep our STC and DC though.

The most disappointing part for me was how unable we were to stop Washington. Washington?

They did put up very similar rushing and total yards against Miami last week and Miami is another team that's supposed to be loaded on defense.

But still, i would've thought Gregg Williams would've had a more effective game plan for this game...

Personally, I'm done. But then I think most know the way I feel.

If not Fisher, than who? The Rams went with an under the radar guy in Scott Linehan who was a dud and a high profile defensive coordinator in Steve Spagnuolo who was a control freak who surrounded himself with inexperience coaches who would not rock the boat and the Rams went the experience route with Fisher, so where do they go next?

I guess they could try the college coaching tree, but there has been checkered success at best, but if anyone has suggestions I'm all for it...Usually I have somebody in mind, but at this point I really don't see anyone that trumps Fisher. Mike Smith? No thanks maybe the coordinator route again with Adam Gase, however, I don't feel like dealing with another Coach that needs to cut their teeth.

Maybe the Rams can catch lightning in a bottle and go for another UCLA Head Coach in Jim Mora, Jr. I truly believe Mora would welcome the opportunity and he did fairly well in Atlanta and really was not given a chance in Seattle. So with Mora you get a Head Coach with NFL experience that has turned a dormant program around and a Los Angeles connection would make some sense so how do you all feel about Mora as Rams Head Coach? 31-33 record and 1-1 in playoff, this would be somewhat similar to what Pete Carroll did leaving USC for Seattle.

I don't know where they go, but I have total faith in Snead. He wasn't there during the Spags or Linehan administrations, nor did he have anything to do with selecting them. I think if Demoff & Snead got together, they'd assemble a great staff.
