Spanos coming out right now and saying he won't work with Kroenke imo is the worst thing he can do. The owners want to work out a deal among themselves. They don't want this to come down to a vote and somebody not getting taken care of. They can't afford to have this be seen by the public as a mess or mishandled.

From the beginning of all of this one of my biggest questions has been, What do the Chargers want? What's their end game?

I still don't know.

Is it downtown SD?

Vinny tweeted yesterday that if SD could deliver $450 million in public money, the Chargers would stay. (But that was probably The Chargers taking a shot at Kroenke through Vinny.)

Is it that the Spanos' intend to sell fairly soon and they want to sell for L.A. prices so they're hell bent on getting to L.A. no matter the carnage?

Is it Dean Spanos really just hates Stan Kroenke and will do anything to stop him from getting what he wants?

Or maybe it's just business: Spanos has this thing and it's golden (his claim to the L.A. market) and he's not going to just give it away for nothing?

I wonder if any of the other owners actually care what he thinks he deserves? I mean, why should he feel entitled to the L.A. market? Just because his team is geographically close? There are 12 teams in the league that are within 100 miles of each other. Do the Eagles get to claim the New York market? Do the Browns get to claim the Detroit market? I just don't get where he's got any leg to stand on with this argument.

Spanos is demanding a new stadium, funded by someone else and trying to argue that LA is his when his team is in SD. Somebody's got entitlement issues if you ask me.

I wouldn't expect any other statement leaked about a possible Ram/Chargers negotiation. It would kill the Carson charade and leave the Raiders out in the cold with any leverage with Oakland if they have any at all. The league will drag this out as long as possible to keep the fans interest in St. Louis and the other home markets. Again, Spanos saying he's willing to negotiate with Kroenke would just erase the fake Carson plan.

Bingo. There's been rumors lately about Stan and Dean in Inglewood.

That scenario was squashed yesterday.

Bravo NFL.

So where's he going to get the money to build a stadium in LA? or the 500 mil for the relocation fee? So much BS.

I think the relocation fee could be paid over time so I don't think that's an issue.

Yes, the relocation fee is paid over time but so is the debt service. The combination of the 2 could be an issue if the revenue projections don't match the actual revenues.
