If I was a betting man, I'd bet $10K on the Over ...... the Rams will win 7 games this season.

I would have to agree that we should win at least unless Goff was 5 wasted picks.

You win $2200, not $200

- fox sports: 3-13 (predict the rams will start 0-10)
- sports illustrated: 6-10 (predict 6 may be a stretch)
- espn: 6-10
- cheatsheet: we expect the rams to “compete” for a top-five pick in the 2018 nfl draft.

Never been a gambler. Is any part of that $2,200 part of what you originally bet? In other words, if you put down $2K and win, do you get $4,200 back??

This got me thinking as well. And I have placed these types of bets. Obviously not life changing ones.

Without doing a google search, yeah you get your 2000 back plus 2200. If the Rams won only one game you would be under and they keep your 2000.

I think...... ;)

Yes. You get your original bet (2,000) and your winnings (2,200).

So you get back total 4,200.

ok so imake my annual trek to las vegas and bet the rams every year to make the playoffs and superbowl...usually $100 each.. its a 5 month long bet so it isn't a big deal and odds are usually pretty long..

so im not sure if the betting slip showing is accurate,(i think it may be, i usually don't bet over/under) but usually if you bet the pay is set to where opposing bettors offset... so to simplify

i bet a 100 on the over and the payoff is 90... and i win at the cashier i collect $190...
joe shmuck patriot fan bets $100 on the under and loses... he gets zilch

so what vegas has done is paid me off with shmucks loss, and pockets $10...
and they do it on such a large scale they rake it in...

so with that in mind you can see why odds change, NOT due to any insider info or last second hunches... it changes strictly by whether too much money is bet on one side or the other, and the need to have bet money exchange hands at an even rate so las vegas turns a $10 dollar profit with most bets cast...

so if joe shmuck bets a$1000, and 10 ram fans bet $100 and the rams cover vegas wins $100
if smuck wins he gets his 1000 plus $900 so las vegas still wins 100..as long as they get 10 ram fans to bite...

the key for LV is keeping the money bet even or as close to even as possible...

and they are pretty good at that...lol

that said, this year im adding the over to my usual bets...

go rams
