Sheesh! Finally a coupla guys who "get" (comprehend) WHAT I WROTE IN CAPS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OP.....IE. IT'S ALL ABOUT WINNING!! So thanks dieterbrock for "tiebreaker"....as an alternative word for my "coin toss"....and thanks snackdaddy for the "redheaded stepchild" morning smile!! For those who want to ignore or sluff-off the "business competition" factor between Spanos and Kroenke in the race to sign SoCal PSL buyers....remember that the Chargers will not be in their StubHub digs for long. The Spanos group move into The Inglewood Palace at exactly the same time as Kroenke's group. As snackdaddy opines....whoever is losing over these next few seasons will be the football equivalent of the LA Clippers. The Chargers are picking behind us in The 2017 Draft, so they were better than 4-12 in 2016 sportsfans! They also play in a Division that has three Playoff caliber teams in Oakland, KC and Denver. Add to that, that in a passing league, the Chargers have an elite QB in Phillip Rivers, whereas we have a 0-7 work-in-progress. At least, like Los Ramos, the Chargers have a new HC and Staff....so the competition for W's (and PSL Sales)....and the battle for the hearts&minds of SoCal Pro Football fans...will be hard fought. No cakewalk here for Demoff's crew. That's why the Rams need to trot out every single advantage.Mend the fences with Eric Dickerson, and get him on all the talk radio shows to push the Rams agenda. If I was Demoff, I would pay ED for his support, but through a Third Party. The public doesn't need to know ED is on Kroenke's payroll.....and again, where the talent levels are tied, use the fact that said potential Draftee is an ex-Trojan/Bruin as the tie-breaker and get that USC and UCLA love onto our side! by Elvis 8 years 3 months ago Total posts: 41479 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator A MARKETING IDEA FOR KEVIN DEMOFF POST #12 RamsFanSince82, RedAlice liked this post Gaston Green comes to mind. The only thing that matters is winning. Of the guys who spend a lot of time on an internet sports forum, the percentage is probably better than 50%. I used to be that guy but aging has a way of trimming the amount of time you commit to certain things (ie, football in general). Anyhow, draft solid football players. Get the team on a projectory to start being good and winning. The fans will support the Rams.I also just do not see the competition with the Chargers. There will now be Charger fans in Los Angeles: so what? And if the Chargers put together a winning team faster than the Rams, they will have some new fans in Los Angeles. Again: so what?I'm really not clear on how this is supposed to affect me as a Rams fan. Doesn't bother me at all. I want the Rams to win. End. Allen drafted UCLA Bruin phenom QB, Gary Beban in the 2nd Round of the 1968 NFL Draft!! Gary Beban's Career NFL Stats? He couldn't agree on a Contract with Los Ramos, so Beban's rights were traded to Washington Redskins in exchange for Washington's First Rounder in 1969 (10th overall it turned out)....which George Allen used to select one of the Notre Dame darling duo of Terry Hanratty and Jim Seymour....we got Seymour BTW! Seymour had a brief career in Chicago with the Bears, and the WFL Club the Chicago Fire. Jim Seymour unfortunately died of cancer a few years ago at only 61. 1 by rams74 8 years 3 months ago Total posts: 1739 Joined: Nov 19 2015 Glendale, Arizona Pro Bowl A MARKETING IDEA FOR KEVIN DEMOFF POST #17 Elvis, OldSchool liked this post Elvis wrote:Gaston Green comes to mind. The only thing that matters is winning.
