How do u think the world would have viewed the GSOT had it played-out in the Coliseum in front of 100,000 fans and the LA media spot light? You really think these markets are comparable? Really?

Not comparable at all.

Oh, and BTW, when i said medicocrity was fine in St. Louis, i meant for the Rams because they were trying to leave.

Now they're trying to establish themselves and grow the brand so mediocrity isn't fine in L.A.

If the Rams were trying to get out of L.A. it would be fine here too...

But please, tell me more about the supiority of Los Angeles and how St. Louis is so horrible because we stuck with the Rams through the rough times.

why does st louis think of la fans as inferior because they won't support this crap.

I've never posted anything negative about St.Louis or any fans there. IMO it's easy to see that if you have tunnel vision and that's all you're looking for. Enjoy the team, just remember they only play in L.A. 7 times a year right now.

***edit***
I did post once on here or on RRF about stop complaining. I always felt the fans were hosed by Georgia, Shaw and the City.

On the original post, I think Elvis has a point. I'm sure Stan and Demoff had a bazillion things to concern themselves with rather than Fisher and his staff. Not that they don't have a bazillion things to concern themselves with in L.A. with the new digs, etc. But they want a winner and I would guess, waiting another year to see if things turn around, then having to fire Fisher (and maybe more) puts them too close to that 2019 season. Now they can watch the guys play for the their jobs and start the search for a new head coach, who, if the unwritten rules of the modern NFL hold, will have about 3 years to build a winner.

We took 2 decades of that feeling. We should remember, we are all rams fans, and for that we all bonded. We have suffered together. This mine is bigger than your crap is fruitless. Mine is,,,, lol

All StL'ers earned the right to love them and to hurt for them. You'll get used to it,,, and no one really means anything by it. We're still getting used to it too.

I think Stan K has every intention of having the best team on the field, the best stadium in the land and a global product
When he hired Fisher, he invested heavily in the coaching staff, gave Fisher complete autonomy
As an owner, I don't want a Dan Snyder who will impulsively make staff moves that constantly come back to bite him or a Jerry Jones who's ego eventually takes over and he brings down what his football guys build.
Kroenke gave Fisher time, let him work thru the Bradford mess and IMO took his eye off the ball during the St Louis to LA work.
Now he's got his eyes on the prize and sees what we all see. Fisher may be a great guy and may have pulled the team out of the doldrums, but he has maxed out his effectiveness and its time to upgrade.
Cheers to Stan K for his vision and I look forward to the team's next step forward

I don't know, I think the Rams thought they had a winner in Jeff Fisher and they gave him every opportunity to prove it in STL and LA. I think going into this season the Rams management thought they had a steady hand at the helm, and a person that was well-liked within the organization, by the players, and around the league.

I think they probably felt we were a QB away from being a competitor, that Fisher had developed a competitive squad with a strong defense, and that this season was going to make a difference.

So much so, they gave him a contract extension.

But, they were wrong.

When they figured out they were wrong, finally, they made the smart move and cut ties.

I think the organization under Kroenke wants to win, and I never really felt that much under the previous regime. I don't think this was an acceptance of mediocrity in either city, just a god's-honest human mistake.

I'm encouraged they're willing to correct it.

Kudos to the powers-that-be for finally seeing the light. Now build us a winner. :)

The bottom line, can this current ownership and COO find a good/great HC and/or GM.

We have nothing but hope to go on as neither has shown success in this area. We believe Stan will spend the money required. We know they want a splashy pick, but I hope it has more substance.
