I do find it a little amusing that this is the one article they thought worthy of putting in the locked relocation thread at ROD...

To be fair, 503 (Who I think does an incredible job moderating over there) has offered to post any articles people forward him. I'm pretty confident if one of us was to forward an LA favorable article to him, he'd post it as well.

As for Shane, I like the guy a lot and appreciate his fighting the good fight, but hes way to one sided for me. Cant give credit to Carson and yet give no credence to Inglewood.

Shane's being Shane. I felt like I've read the same article from him talking about the same thing for months now.

If STL gets the stadium deal done, the Rams will stay. That has been his message since January.

- Even if another team could be obtained -- which isn't a given -- there would be real challenges in attempting to build a third fanbase inside of 30 years after losing two teams since 1988.

Wait a minute . . . Executive Summary point 7:
"7. Focus group participants indicated that while keeping the Rams in St. Louis was preferred, remaining a NFL city was of the utmost importance. The vast majority of participants would support a new NFL team if it came to the market."

Think of it more as an opinion piece than hard, fact based reporting...

Between Buck and Gray, how do they think all this vilifying of Kroenke is going to make him keep the Rams in St. Louis?

Of course, IMO this is exactly what St. Louis did to Kroenke anyway so it's only natural that it's reporters do the same. Kroenke has the money to build wherever he wants. He wanted to make St. Louis into an international sports hub but St. Louis refused to let him benefit from spending all of that money. Now, they're on the outside looking in and Stan's moving to Malibu full time.

I feel very little sympathy in this situation. When LA was saddled with Georgia, they were faced with an owner who wanted everything on a platter, financed by anyone but her. Conversely, St. Louis has an owner who's willing to spend money but they want him to spend it and not benefit from it.
