Maybe this craziness is real?

Report: Peyton Manning would like to continue playing

Peyton Manning, who is currently mulling retirement, would like to continue playing according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Here’s my understanding—I think he’d like to keep playing. In a perfect world, he’d like to keep playing,” Schefter said on Mike and Mike Tuesday morning. “The question is, who’s going to give him an opportunity? And it’s tough to identify that team right now, that’s willing to sign him to the deal that makes it worthwhile for him, that allows him to continue playing.”

Schefter added that it’s unlikely that Manning would join the Texans and Rams, and that the veteran signalcaller already has some job offers if he decides to retire. TV networks are interested in bringing him in as a color analyst, and several NFL teams would like him to help out in the front office.

Love.

When it comes to Manning who is Britt to refuse? I don't think Peyton will be here myself but would not be surprised if he was.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

Peyton in our blue and whites? Just NO NO NO NO NO NO

So let me guess, you don't like Peyton Manning. Not in love with him myself (anymore). He's too old and lost a lot. His mobility was never there and it got worse. Need a solid line which ours isn't yet (I presume), yet he is still likely better than anyone in a Ram uni in 2015, with the possible exception of Manninon. (strikingly similar last names)

The 18 reference was more to the nostalgic point.

Alice, he's not my favorite and I wouldn't want to break the bank for a 40 yr old QB on his last leg, but if he gives us a better chance to get us into the playoffs, I'd be on board, despite my reservations. He could certainly mentor the new kids.

2 things,, we would instantly not be the youngest team in the league anymore (by avg) and the word Omaha would take on a whole new meaning..

My initial reaction was a no.

But, he could teach our young offense, coaching staff and new QB a thing or three about the passing game in the NFL. There isn't a better guy to groom a rookie QB behind, until he takes over as a better version of Matt Hasselback.

Yeah, that's pretty much my thinking too.

At first all i could think of was Bert Jones and a team that's more interested in PR than really building something.

But the flipside is Peyton could show the Rams what a passing game is, he could coach up a young QB, and the PR wouldn't hurt...

Hey everyone. I don't want the Rams to be the team who destroys Peyton Manning's legacy. And if he's throwing to Kenny Britt, Brian Quick - that most surely will destroy said legacy. :(

Hey man, welcome aboard but (and i think you already know this), you can't sell your bootlegged Rams games here. They're illegal (whether you like it or not) and we're not going to be involved in that for what i would hope are obvious reasons...

But seriously, welcome aboard, i hope you continue to hang out...

Even better would be to watch the look on Fisher's face when Manning audibles out of running the ball up the middle against a stacked box to a pass play over and over again...
