He's opting out of 3 years $24 million at 30 years of age. Huge gamble on his part and I'd stay away from 30 year old linemen wanting $8m, he's great I'd rather not roll those dice yet again though.

The guy is a rock. He will be able to call out assignments and help the qb with recognizing defensive line ups. OldSchool is right to have concerns about over paying a 30 yr old lineman. If he truly wants to play in LA we will see what's he's willing to sign for.

I hope he does wear the horns this year.

We don't know what he wants yet. But I bet he want out of Cleveland. The guaranteed money is gonna be the sticking point. If they can get him for 4 years with 12 mil or less guaranteed, and reasonable salaries the first 2 years, he would be a good addition. After that, hopefully one of the OCs we draft this year or next will be ready to go.

Considering how young our entire OL is and the possibility of adding a rookie QB. In this case, I think adding a vet center to anchor the line's playcalling makes all too much sense. Having all young players is nice but it has it's limitations and I believe our offense could definitely use some veteren leadership in the mix. I think he's a perfect fit.

With a solid Oline and solid QB & RB, even I could get open given enough time.
My O priority has to be 1) Starting QB, 2) C, 3) WR/TE. the latter moving to 2 if we can steal a stud.
