Only way, if one of these players get injured during camp. IMO
I see him as a PS player.

Reeder is on a cheap, 1 year deal. He will have to beat out Dolac and anyone else they throw out there not in the top 3. I think Landman’s deal might be only 1 year as well. Experience is great. Skill and productivity are greater. The Rams will have to “forecast” productivity if they truly believe one of the other ILBs is simply a better player. Same goes for the last spot at WR. IMO.

I think they carry 4 and Dolac has a shot to beat out Reeder.

I also think one of the UFDA WRs can beat out Smith. The new RB Hunter has return experience (mostly KOs) and Tru Edwards has experience doing both. So that might, I emphasize might, make a difference. My $$ is on Tru Edwards making the 53.

It going to be interesting. Smith was pretty damn good last year returning punts. More kickoffs probably this year too. I think we are going to have great WR competition for the 5th through 7th(?) spots...

I really hope they don’t end up keeping 4 TEs

Kinda have to as Higs gets hurt even dinged often. And the Rookie needs to be available and ready when/if that happens. Can’t really stash anyone on the PS. No really proven catching threats other than Higs right now.

Who would you cut? Allen? He’s shown flashes and was hurt (back) which jacked up his second season. Colby is too expensive to cut and can block well.

Here is the thing about Reeder, is he an elite player? No
but why would the Rams sign him this early in from the beginning?
Because he is a vet that knows the system,
plus, to train those younger players,
how to do it the right way, the RAMs way.
Reeder was a UDFA when the RAMs signed him 6 years ago.
Also, Landman was a UDFA coming into the league.
So, for those ILB like Dolac, should be riding their coattail,
because that's who he has to beat out,
and I don't see that happening in his first year.
He'll be a PS player,
unless there is an injury.

Why not?
I think they should,

Because they could use more of a 12PG, not just a 11PG.

It just gives more of a bigger playbook for the RAMs scheme.

I would like to see, 6 WR & 4 TE vs 7WR & 3TE

Especially using those TE on ST.

Looking at the WR position,

With the addition of Vet WR/PR/Britain Covey,

Do the RAMs keep 7WR?

The bottom three would be, WR/PR/Smith, WR/PR/Covey, & WR/Mumpfield,
for the 6th spot, and most likely that cut would go to the PS.

I could see the RAMs if needed to cut one of these guys, it would be Mumpfield,
and him going on the PS. Reason being,
Smith has the most experience with the playbook and can do both WR/PR.
While Covey has NFL experience and can do both WR/PR.

Or they keep 7 and cut their OL from 10 to 9?
bottom two, C/G/Dedich or C/G/McMahon

I see the RAMs keeping 4 TEs, so, no cuts here.

Interesting. Rams signed Boston Scott last year and he ended up not making the team. Maybe Covey ends up the same? But keeping Mumpfield and X on the 53 would still be 7...
