As far as "piecing the OL together on the cheap", that's waaaay off the mark. They spent money on Noteboom after 2021, drafted Bruss with their first pick, Arcuri in the 7th in 2022, traded for Dotson in 2022, drafted Avila with their first pick, McClendon in the 5th in 2023 and spent huge bucks on both JJ and Dotson this past off season. In addition they drafted Limmer and Leviston with their final two picks this year. It can't be argued they spent wisely on Noteboom but with Whit retiring and no 1st or 2nd round pick, their options were severely limited. They have used A LOT of capital on the OL over the last 3 seasons. Who do you want to cut to put more money towards the OL? Kupp? Stafford?

The O line had a bad game, that's a fact. But it wasn't ALL on the O line. Kyren fumbled. Stafford had multiple passes batted down and had one picked. Stafford missed guys (Allen on the 3rd and 4; Kyren standing at the goal line), etc.. What kills me is I read some posts (not you; not here), that JJ sucks. We've seen him a grand total of 3 games. And based on those 3 games, it's been determined 'he sucks'. Now that is some phenomenal talent evaluation skills.....3 games and they've seen enough to conclude, 'he sucks'.

Wow. A lot of pent up anger aimed at something other than my comments. lol. The bottom line is the team lacks consistency. Even McVay admitted it. I’ve never said I know why, merely pointed it out. I’ll stand by my initial post.

Pent up? I say what's on my mind. Always and often. Certainly not anger either. Your mistaking contradiction for anger. And my comments were aimed nowhere but at your comments.

You said, "they've been trying to piece together the OL on the cheap". I submitted some facts that I believe disprove that statement. You can agree or not but when you spend the kind of money they have the last 3 years (3 yrs, 40 mil; 3 yrs 48 mil; 3 yrs 51 mil with 91 mil guaranteed) as well as the draft capital (their first pick in the draft the previous two years as well as picks later in the draft....6 picks total), it's anything but "an attempt to piece it together 'on the cheap'." You can stand by that if you want, that's your prerogative. It's clearly wrong though...by any metric.

I did mistake someone else's comments about the CBs with yours. I apologize for that.

I agree that JJ doesn't "suck". The problem is his availability. He's had a history of missing games and getting dinged up a lot. Playing hurt. It does affect a guy's performance when he's in and out of the lineup. Can't play long enough to develop consistency. If you look at his injury history you see a variety of different injuries causing him to be listed as out or questionable. Even missed games with a finger injury. Makes you wonder if signing him was a wise move.

He missed 4 games in 2022, 5 games in 2023 and 6 games in 2024. Played the entire year in 2020 and 2021. Is he injury prone? Sure look likes he's been the last 3 years. Does that mean he will continue that trend? Not at all. But we'll have to watch and see what happens to determine if he was worth the money or was a bad signing. It's football. Guys get injured. A lot. Cooper Kupp has missed more games (27) and played less full seasons (1) than JJ and he's in his 8th year. Doesn't mean I want to see him gone (but I've read some fans who do).

The silver lining is Limmer has proven he can play and should only get better. Limmer has chemistry with K Dot but not with Avila. J Jax has very limited chemistry with K Dot and Avila. And like PA and actually the OL themselves have said, it takes game reps to build that chemistry. Hence I think they roll with the same OL from the dolphins game with McClendon at RT, not Boom. Hopefully. They can build the interior chemistry very quickly and survive this game with a win. Eagles, at Saints, Bills are the next three and the Rams will lose to the Eagles and Bills if their offense isn’t humming. These next 4 are basically the season. 3-1 is kinda the worst we can do if we want to entertain making the playoffs.

The last 1/4 of the season is @ whiners, @ Jets, Cards, Seahawks. All winnable but having the cushion to lose one of them would be good. If we go 3-1 here we end up 10-7 and have a decent shot at the post season.

No problem. I should have been more precise. I was really referring to the many years under McVay that the Rams have put money anywhere but OLine, C, S, and ILB in that order. With the signing of Whitt they got their Orlando Pace and won a SB. Unfortunately the recent $$ spent on Oline has not been panning out. Hopefully they can get a top OLine together to salvage the year. The talent is there when healthy.
