Right now the 8th could either be Reeder or John Johnson.

Of course i have no idea if either is ready to return or currently in the Rams plans...

Well McVay has mentioned both as being ready sooner than later, if this is correct why bring back KT

I was think that too but then i remembered KT went on IR before the the original cutdown to 53 so he and Murchinson automatically counted against the 8 regardless.

The Rams really only had 6 activations once the season started...

Don't we have two spots?

Off IR/ eight players can return.

D.Williams CB off IR

Murchaison DT off IR (Foot/back in the IR)

Nacua WR off IR

Avila G off IR

J. Jackson G/C off IR

KT Leveston G (on the 21-day window)

We have three that can possibly return:

J. Johnson S
Murchaison DT
Reeder ILB

My money is on J Johnson over Reeder and Murch. Those latter two are too one dimensional where JJ3 allows for even more multiplicity on the back end.

And with 2 more "return from IR" slots available for the postseason, they could both return should we make it. But we're deeper at safety than we are at ILB. And they certainly value Reeder more than fans. I guess it's up to Speights. 8-)
