The NBA is weird. The TV deal and franchise valuations have never been higher.

I read somewhere that the Buss family trust doesn't allow for shares of the team to be passed down. So if one of the siblings dies (and they're all getting older) their shares would go to the other siblings, not their kids. Apparently that's one of the reasons they did this. Of course the $10 billion valuation sure didn't hurt...
