snackdaddy wrote:Even if they won that 13-9 it doesn't change the fact that this team has serious problems. 9 games left. Sure, a 3-5 team can get on a run and make the playoffs. But this 3-5 team is not one of those. There have been absolutely no signs of them breaking out of whatever funk they are in. I don't see them winning more than 3 games the rest of the way. And its gonna take some really good play by the defense to win 3.

I agree and will take the heat if they do go on a run to prove those of us who have lost all faith wrong.

I hear ya snackdaddy! ;)
I was reading on Friday night, in another Ram Forum where guys were predicting the Tampa Bay-Rams final scores...
and all these guys were posting like, 31-24 Rams, 30-20 Rams, etc etc :?

....and I am thinking to myself, what movie have these guys been watching these past few weeks, huh? :|
Like in what parallel universe can this 2022 Rams Team score 30+ points with this OL?? :roll2:

The remaining 2022 Regular Season games the Rams win are IMHO going to be Fisherville type 9-6, 13-7 type dink'n'dunk squeakers where our D plays tough, snot-bubble popping football.....a la the 7-9 Alec Ogletree days. :idea2:

9 first downs. None in the 4th quarter. -4 yards total in the 4th quarter. -61 point differential in all 2022 4th quarters. These numbers are staggeringly bad.

I keep waiting for the breakthrough game where they get out of this funk, but...it's not happening. Just look at the body language. This team is as out of sync right now as you can get.

Higbee was the #2 receiving weapon behind CK last year. This year a shadow.

Running game is hard to watch. Embarrassing.

OL play is atrocious.

Offenses have learned to take full advantage of our soft coverage, eating us alive.

Stafford has little time to get set and throw.

This team barely scrapes some points together in the first half and disappears in the second. Not a recipe for success.

Seems like Higbee hasn't been the same since he hurt his shoulder. Hopkins has been pretty close to a zero and Blanton not even active on gameday.

McVay on Kupp:

“Overall, it should’ve never gotten down to that,” McVay said of the defense being unable to get a stop late. “We should’ve been able to close out that game. Should’ve given some better clarity on some of the different things, especially when we were able to circle the edge on the jet sweep because even if we did get the first down and get out of bounds, we’d still be able to run out the clock, but those are things that I’ve got to be better as a head coach to be able to create clarity.”

The mash unit of the o-line is the cause of most of the problems, Tampa has same issues but I better pass rush.

The Rams are gonna have to find out what the best (healthy ) line will look like next year. It is a big question.

We also are in desperate need of a pass rushing OLB. Hopefully something they can address in the draft or FA.

The defense must play more aggressive when games situations dictate it. Im not clear why Kendrick is still starting with other vets available at this point or using Durant.

Playing not to lose. That was the mentality on that drive. Waste time and punt.

The Rams weren’t like this prior to this year. That’s why Ramsey said what he said.
