I would swap the Raiders with the Cards not the Chargers...

Regionally it's perfect. Travel would be easier. It's unique because most realignment plans are of the AFC and NFC seperately. This really makes geographic sense. The purists and their favorite rivalries would suffer though. But with the 16 game schedule assuring everybody plays everybody else at least every four years and the added game....hopefully added 2 games those old rivalries may be rekindled even more often. That would make them even more special.

Plus you could keep some rivalry by always playing your corresponding AFC<>NFC division each year.

Yeah, swapping the Cards and renters really doesn't make sense. Having 2 teams in the same division and stadium seems like a no go to me. Also, you have to be careful when it comes to changing a teams conference. That is HUGE!!!

The only team that needs realigned is the Cowboys.

The only other true oddball is Miami. Plus the Indy Colts seem misplaced: but it's not as bad as the Cowboys or Dolphins.

The Dolphins lead the all-time series with the Patriots 59–54. Leave em there.

KC in the West never made any sense but i guess there aren't 8 teams that qualify. Still i think the Texas teams are closer to LA than KC is...

If you look at the old AFL setup that's where that sprung from.

Still nothing can compare the the 1995 to 2001 NFC "West" with
-St. Louis?
-San Fran
-New Orleans?
-Atlanta?
-Carolina?
