BobCarl needs to know we had a French Chardonnay Macon-Lugny Saint-Pierre with our Chinese takeout. Pretty decent to us Northerners....."well within the acceptable range" as we used to say in the military. :D

Good to see you posting regularly my friend. I'm heading down to Niagara tomorrow morning to see my Mom for her 93rd birthday ! 8-) She just sold her car 6 months ago, so still sharp & funny, and it'll be off to The Casino after our Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner (that's right sportsfans, our Thanksgiving up here in the cold end of North America is same day as your Columbus Day) :idea2:

Great night here at RamsNation Northern HQ with much regaling after our Rams spanked the Seahawks!! ;)
Keep the posts comin' BobCarl!! :!2:

The decision regarding Gruden should be left to the Raiders. If they want him coaching their team, it should be their choice, with potential free agents knowing that signing with the Raiders means playing for a head coach that thinks the way he does.

Same with Urban Meyer. If he gets fired for the “lap dance “ he received, then Kraft should be forced for sell the Patriots for his happy ending massage parlor incident which was somehow thrown out of the courts on technical grounds. Setting up video surveillance at a massage parlor where solicitation and sex trafficking are suspected is apparently a no-no in Flori-duh (guess it would cause too many politicians from that state to not be able to serve)

Some excellent wines are produced in the Maconnais region of Burgundy France.

They are reasonably priced, they are never "buttery" nor are they over oaked. The quality is far better than an equally priced Chardonnay from the US

It's good to hear that my northern neighbors are doing well!

Yeah that, "in the best interest of the game" or however they term it doesn't seem to apply to owners.

I want to hear from more players, and find out if there are other emails and possible witnesses to other comments by Gruden.

Here's comments from four players:

Josh Jacobs wrote:"He had a team meeting and laid everything out (on) how the situation had occurred and things like that," Jacobs said. "I've been around this guy for three years now. I've never felt a certain type of way about him. He's never rubbed me a certain way like that type of way. What he said was what he said at the end of the day, too. But I definitely trust him -- It was 10 years ago – people grow."

Yannick Ngakoue wrote:declined to comment

Derek Carr wrote:Gruden was "honest" and "up front" when discussing the email with the team and that Gruden's message was to learn from his mistake.

Denzel Perryman wrote:I literally let it go as soon as we walked out of the meeting room. I wasn’t focused on that … still not focused on that. I don’t know how many years ago it was, I could care less.

Right... because New Jersey has never experienced political corruption or any kind. :roll2:

Of course, each franchise can assess situations like this and make their own decision. I'm no fan of the overreactions of "cancel culture," but I be find if the Raiders and Jaguars decided to make an example of both of these guys.

I hate the cancel culture too. While I am 56 now and far more mature, I would sure hate to have my high school and collage days held against me when I did some bonehead things (usually involving alcohol). Things (and people) change over time.

As to Meyer, it is not like he laid pipe on the gal. She did her grind, took a photo, he patted her ass and she went away. Big f'n deal. It is an issue for his wife, not the ownership or the NFL. Like everyone throwing stones has never done something stupid but harmless. Please.

Gruden's a closer call. He can lose the team with something like that. Losing the team should be the basis to fire him. Really, really stupid to be doing/saying things like that. If he got blown out for that, I would have no issue.

It's that Meyer is 0-4 and he stayed behind in Ohio to party. Fly back with your team, talk on the flight and start planning for the Tennessee game.
