I predict a strong showing from Michel. And a relatively conservative (but winning) game for Stafford. Don’t need heroics when you can just power run those yards.

QFTOS: BEARS PRE GAME EDITION

Just saying . . . Their preseason offense hasn't scored more then 17 points in a game.
Something is going to give boyz.

17 points is plenty...we can only muster like 6 points with Nagy.

Did the rams play anybody that will actually play in the regular season? I don't think so. Good luck with this line of thinking though

As much as I want to agree I believe we are about to get lit up. Nagy about to get schooled and the D will get gassed early. Bears offensive line is about to be in a world of pain. I.E., Andy Dalton is going to be in a world of pain.

I have a feeling the Dalton offense is gonna be a repeat of that joke Foles offense. 3 points sounds about right.

Justin can benefit from sitting, and I agree with him.
wins and losses don’t matter to me this season.
:?
Shoot. Bears got this!

I just think the combo of McVay and Stafford is a train wreck just waiting to happen. The ultra control freak HC with an older, experienced vet QB. Should work out swimmingly…

That very well could be but I don't think it is going to help the Bears in the opener.

It's in the bag if Bears finish +2 turnover ratio boyz . . .

I have a feeling the line will hold up a little better than expected, but Nagys play calling/Dalton will hold back the offense.

Vegas called, they want your money........
Rams did not play any of their starters in the preseason.
Stafford is much more familiar with the Bears D than Goff ever was.
Stafford has a much quicker release than Goff.
Bears secondary is significantly worse than it was in previous years.
Donald > Mack
And then there is the Bears O-line.................

I'm not even sure Dalton is better than Trubisky or Foles. And if he is, he's only marginally better.

Joking aside, I feel like this season is just a placeholder for next year.

I still can't believe the Rams gave the Lions 2 1st roundt picks plus a 3rd, plus Jared Goff, for Matt Stafford.
Is Stafford really that much better than Goff? Moobs demanded a trade because the Lions had 3 losing seasons in a row... hell the Lions have been losers ever since Stafford arrived as a first overall pick. How is that worse than Goff, who started a SB? Plus Moobs is a whiney cry baby. I predict massive failure for the Rams long term as a result of this trade and not having 4 1st round picks in a row due to this trade and the Jalen Ramsey trade.
But not Sunday night. Rams 28, Bears 11.

Mmmooooooooobsssss!!!
Just counting the days until Justin Fields starts.
Also counting the days until Matt Nagy puts together a top 20 offense...and the days are getting looooonger..
Rams 31, Bears 10

Rams 34
Bears 3

Just make it a watchable game please. i don't need to spend 3+ hours dreading watching our offense struggle for first downs, false starts, delay of games, wasted time outs, turn overs, WRs Jet sweep screens and other insurmountable drive killing mistakes.
And please don't let moobs pick apart our JV CBs and embarrass us on D too. I am glad that the bears played starters in preseason this year.

How many first downs for Dalton and the offense? I go under 10

13-34 Rams. I hope I'm way off.

24 - 3 Rams win.
Nagy is a moron. Unless he completely changes his MO from the last 4 years. He will call random plays with no rhythm and no continuity that the OL cannot block effectively. He won’t run the ball or will abandon the run as soon as the Rams get one score ahead. Dalton will not be the reason the Bears lose, Nagy and the OL will be.

I fully expect for the Rams to be up big and therefore the offense will get a couple garbage scores late in the game.

the rest of you are familiar with the phrase "that's why they play the game" right? let's let the Chicago Bears play the Los Angeles Rams and see how it goes.

Moobs. I hadn't heard that nickname. Hope it doesn't catch on.

This will be the most telling game in a while I think. Can’t remember the last time I was as curious as how the team will do. Maybe that Raider game when we just got Suh and that stat studded D.

BETTING LINE

1.JPG

Early pick: Rams -7 / EDIT: now -7.5

The line has moved up to favor the Rams by a full touchdown and with good reason. Most of the Rams starters like new starting quarterback Matthew Stafford should be rested and ready to go after sitting out the preseason.

Also, the Bears are 6-7 against the spread as road underdogs under Matt Nagy and are starting Andy Dalton. Go with L.A. to cover at home in Week 1.

Silly post ALERT.

So early in Goff's career some had Goff being a look-alike with Ryan Gosling. Who is Stafford's look-alike?

I'm going with Elon Musk.

That schedule is awesome.

Early games I'll be watching?
Seattle @ Indy, SF @ Detroit, Arizona @ Tennessee (prolly only during the first half) and the Chargers/Washington.

The late games are going to be exclusively GB @ Nawlins and Cleveland @ KC.

It's a bitch to wait until 8 EST to see the Rams but I look at the positives. There will be 14 games completed before kickoff. Will SF, Seattle and Arizona all be 1-0? I doubt it.
