NFL attendance is waning. Their brand is getting older and doesn't have the allure it used to. the league could really screw up if the do LA wrong.
Even though it seems far to risky, I believe that it will be 2 teams at the end of the day, but one of them won't be the called Raiders.

I don't see the Chargers coming. Spanos won't cave, and the NFL powers know that it's a disaster to force ESK to work with Spanos & the Fabiani feeces throwing machine. In the end, Spanos and Davis will get enough money to get new stadiums in their home markets and ESK will inheret an expansion team as his tennant.

I like your idea better and it is as it should be. One point you made about Fabiani and DS is that once the deal was done, I think they would all align. Fabiani's job description would be greatly diminished as well.

Just don't see 3 news stadiums built in California when two of the owners are cheap asses

The NFL is going to have to give out training wheels and spoon feed the trust fund babies to make this happen, and they will.

All that's happened is supporters of each site have expressed their already-known allegiances. Until one side doesn't have 9 votes to block the other, no one is going anywhere. If the status-quo holds true, compromises will need to be approached.

Still tough for me to see Carson or Rams alone in Inglewood winning outright. Most all owners don't want to stiff the 3rd team. I don't think you'll see anyone walking away from this totally happy or dissatisfied, which is why I keep coming back to some sort of compromise.

Also, this consideration shouldn't be forgotten in all of this:

Still just too early for me to call this thing for either side.

Good points JSJ and thanks for bringing that tweet back up. That remains a solid fact in the midst of all this frustrating PR.

btw, love your avi.

Schefter points out the Rams, Raiders and Chargers all play their final two games on the road. Coincidence? In the Rams case, the CVC scheduled events at the Ed in Dec, (third year in a row Rams finish tow road games in a row on the road), Makes me suspicious.

So agree! It's tough right now, but no reason to give up until there's an absolute. Nothing right now is absolute. Keep on loving the Rams for now.

I still do not believe the Raiders are going to LA.

My two points of heresay stick with me. I see no reason at all why Spanos' neighbors/friends would say that he knows the Raiders are not wanted in LA and so he can't move to LA with them unless Spanos or his sons said this to them. What people say in private matters more than what the media says.

And, I still believe what JJ said in private as well.

Granted, it's just things said....but, I choose to believe them as they were both said when no one listening had a stake in the subject.

Yea Spanos just strikes me as a unwise businessman. Even his hiring of Iger and Richardson pushing such to happen. I think Spanos and Richardson will find Iger is handicapped being tied to Carson. What has made Iger so wildly successful is deep pockets, Disney's deep pockets. Iger has been successful mainly through acquisition of assets. He has blazed his trail and is known more for his acquisitions rather than his innovation. Which could be a problem since Spanos has no deep pockets and Iger is being called on to innovate rather than acquire. So could be a case of having the hot hand in Iger, but could be the wrong hand since Spanos needs a innovator who can work with a limited budget.

Iger is doing what he is supposed to do PR wise right now.

Who knows if he will still think this is what he wants to do with himself in two years? I doubt it. Of all the opps he could pursue, is this really the one that nets him the most $$ and fame? That will be his goal.
