Winning is always a good thing. I don't care about draft position. The usual good teams in the league draft at the end of the rounds and they routinely do well during the season. You don't have to be drafting in the top 10 every year to field a quality product. The RAMS scouting and/or coaches ability to develop that talent are the reasons why we routinely blow.

Celebrate the wins, ladies and gents. We are now 1 game up on the niners, and 1 game back of the raiders. These are the yardsticks I'm measuring the RAMS "progress". Hats off to the raiders for reaching 6 wins.

I enjoyed watching Gurley play this game as well and Donald and Austin. The win was nice, much better than them playing well and still losing!

I always want them to win - and, I especially want them to win our last two games of this year. At this point, sweeping two division rivals is certainly something to cheer for even though we are out of the play-offs again.

Plus, I agree with the winning mentality. Would be nice to end the season on some wins to take the team on a good note into LA.

I'd need to see the sack% before discussing that sentiment. But, this o-line has provided enough to make Gurley look pretty good.

Wins from this Fisher team don't represent progress to me. I don't see anything from this team that demonstrates they can get beyond 8-8 without a change in coaching staff. So, if 8 wins is the bar, than I guess yesterday's win is meaningful. But for me, my bar is a deep playoff run. Isn't that why Stan gave Fish $8M per year?

If we wanted mediocrity, then why not just try our luck with a group of up 'n coming college coaches who would love to coach in this league for $2M/yr?

Team has a few pieces in Gurley, Donald and Austin. Obviously, this was a lost season for Quinn given his injuries. I like the secondary, the problem is the impending free agency hits it'll take but they'll have Gaines. They need more talent in the passing game. They need two good receivers and a quality TE. Obviously, they don't have a QB between Foles and Keenum. O line is young I guess, hasn't been very good, but they should be better with more continuity, but I feel I've said that a couple hundred times in the last decade.

With the right HC, and a good QB, The Rams can be a winning team.

They just need to get back to LA, and end the distractions.

Just a coach and QB, huh? Glad those are easy to find. :)

Look what the Cards did.

They were in a lot worse shape than Rams.

They hired Arians who traded for Palmer. And BOOM.

No high pick QB, just smart FO moves.

So true.
And when the Cardinals got him, it seemed like a disaster in the making. Palmer was immobile, knee injury history and the Cardinals o-line was deplorable
I dont recall anyone saying that they made a smart move.
In hindisght, yes, in actuality, no

Right, I imagine there is a corelation between pass attempts and sacks...
Also, the QB who will run have a tendancy to get sacked more often

Still and all, I dont think the oline has played as bad as some would suggest, but it is far from acceptable IMO

Didnt we have close to the fewest 3rd down conversions in the league? How many offensive plays have we run compared to other teams? Hard to get sacked when your QB doesnt have the ball.
deiter's reguest for the sack vs possession % would be more telling I'd think

Real quick because I'm working I took the three teams with the fewest sacks surrendered us, Baltimore and the Jets. We came in at 4.01%, the Jets at 3.97% and Baltimore at 3.96%. That's percentage of pass plays resulting in a sack.
