The STL stadium plan is irrelevant in the decision on who gets LA. No one outside of STL wants to put money into STL, and that includes Kroenke, the league, and every other owner including the guy in JAX. It's a bad investment for anyone. And that's what prompted Peacock's comment.

LA is a fight between Kroenke and Spanos, and Spanos has less to lose than Kroenke.

Kroenke has all those resources, land, money ready to go into LA. And his fall back position is hanging around in a rust belt market and dreaming of London or who knows where or when.

Spanos doesn't have any of those things, and he has a comfortable fall back Super Bowl preferred market in SD.

Kroenke is trying hard to keep ownership of Inglewood all to himself. That's what this is all about right now.

There's still home games to be played so I don't think anything big will come out. The only thing I want to hear is a positive vibe on LA in 2016. I don't want to wait another year.

Btw we should post everything related to the meetings in this thread.

The main reason the NFL might not return to St. Louis is...the people governing St. Louis. Why would any owner want to put up with what they've been doing? They promise a top-tier stadium but never deliver. They back out of the lease that's in place. Then they try to strong-arm and intimidate the owner into staying. Not only staying but forcing him to pay for a venue that he has no say in, no control over and doesn't benefit from financially.

Gee, why wouldn't their be a line of billionaires just fighting for that opportunity?

You are correct - looks like it's the regularly scheduled meeting with all 32 owners.

Wednesday might deliver a wake-up call to San Diego’s long Chargers stadium nightmare.

The NFL’s 32 owners will meet in Dallas to discuss, among other topics, which team or teams can move into the lucrative Los Angeles market. It’s the league’s last regularly scheduled such meeting until March.

Every point this writer made for a chargers move could be made for the Rams as well. His article is also ludicrous. Carson doesn't pay for itself in 2 years.

In general I find the Charger fans and even their reporters to be uninformed on many aspects of the relocation. They don't follow it as closely as both sets of Rams fans.

I used to chime in with facts or info on the Charger site, but it became too tedious as they didn't know so many facts and would argue silly things.

Rams fans don't have to sound out the words... :-)

Sorry for the cheap shot, I couldn't resist.

It's just that SD is such an outdoor place. How could you not want to be outside in the beautiful weather as much as possible? I mean, why sit around looking at book instead of playing golf?
