This game turned on, as most games do - especially close ones, on 3-4 plays. We can all complain about the use or lack of or whatever with TG and the run game as a whole. Not using or perhaps being able to use the TEs was a huge problem. And the one play where we could have cashed in to Everett, Goff throws a deep 9-route to Cooks who was covered in man with safety help over the top - extremely low percentage throw. And Everett was WIDE open. BB gave us the TEs. Total away most everything else. But actually took the TEs always as he forced them to be used to block almost exclusively. Oh well. Live and learn Sean and Jared. This one will sting for a while. This is why I said they embarrassed themselves. 3rd and 2, 14 yard sack was nice. Your elite QB should be able to make those reads. by Phil 6 years 5 months ago Total posts: 170 Joined: Jan 02 2018 Norwalk, CA Rookie nice no show, proud POST #12 R4L, HAL 9000 liked this post Let the guy vent. 2 by R4L 6 years 5 months ago Total posts: 1301 Joined: May 08 2017 Dayton, Ohio Pro Bowl Re: nice no show, proud POST #13 He's welcome to his opinion, and it's hard not to agree. by phoenixrising 6 years 5 months ago Total posts: 865 Joined: Aug 05 2016 Arroyo Grande, CA Veteran nice no show, proud POST #14 ramsman34 wrote:Not using or perhaps being able to use the TEs was a huge problem. I wouldn’t take any other qb if given the choice. 1 by SoCalRam78 6 years 5 months ago Total posts: 1087 Joined: May 25 2015 SoCal Pro Bowl nice no show, proud POST #17 TOPIC AUTHOR Goff is 24, but now will be going into his 4th year. Rams will not extend him. He needs to take another step next year. If he's "still learning to deal with pressure" at this point next year, I'd think hard before investing a big contract in him. by BuiltRamTough 6 years 5 months ago Total posts: 5357 Joined: May 15 2015 Los Angeles Hall of Fame Re: nice no show, proud POST #18 actionjack, Elvis liked this post I said some stuff yesterday that I didn’t mean. It’s just frustration and the alcohol.I cussed him out and called Goff a loser and a bum. Just venting man. A couple of plays here and there and we would’ve won the game. If they were in charge there would be a new coach after every loss. Every losing quarterback would be traded along with other players across the board. Fortunately, teams operate with a bigger picture in mind. Yes, Goff played poorly. Yes, McVay was out coached. Yes, the line played poorly. But you know what? They were pretty darn good most the season. One game isn't going to define them. When they lost that playoff game to Atlanta it stung. But it taught them something. After an 11 win season and division title they came back this year a little smarter. They won 13 games and were the NFC champions. You don't think when McVay woke up this morning he isn't already thinking about how they check this one last box? The Superbowl? Believe me, he's going to be determined. Maybe even obsessed with coming back and finishing the job. This team is going to be a force for many years. Goff is going to be the quarterback of that force. For those in the shortsighted crowd, you might as well accept it. If it pains you that much to see Goff as their long term future you might wanna think about another bandwagon. He's going nowhere. Top 5 quarterbacks don't grow on trees. 1 Reply 2 / 4 1 2 4 Display: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by: AuthorPost timeSubject Sort by: AscendingDescending Jump to: Forum Rams/NFL Other Sports Rams Fans United Q&A's Board Business 31 posts Jul 08 2025
