moklerman wrote:...I do have a couple of initial suggestions.

The schedule at the top of the Los Angeles Rams forum is nice but could it be optional? Or "shrinkable"? I'd rather be able to pull it up when I want to look at it rather than having to scroll past it each time I log on(actually, what's more aggravating is when I'm scrolling past it, I usually get sidetracked in the schedule so then I have to go outside the schedule and then scroll down to the thread).

Speaking of scrolling, the old site offered a link at the bottom of the thread to get back to the message list(Rams/NFL talk). Now(unless I'm missing it), after you reply to a post you're left at the bottom of the thread and have to scroll back to the top to get to the Rams/NFL link. IMO, it was a lot nicer the old way.

Everything sure looks great though and after I get used to it, I'll be happy as pie.

hey there moklerman, hope this helps:

1. whenever you see a hamburger (horizontal bars) icon to the far right of a panel header it means that the content directly below the panel header is collapsible, and once you collapse it, it will remain collapsed util you expand it...

2. the left pointing arrows at the top and bottom of thread pages will take you back to the forum you were perusing so, for example, if you're on page 5 of a thread in the rams/nfl forum, click one of these arrows will take you back to the rams/nfl forum... here's what the arrows look like..

3. the "number boxes" you referred to, i.e. pagination, has been reworked and is great imo once you get used to it... the max number of boxes you will ever see is 3, and the include the first page of the thread, the last page of the thread, and the page you are on... so the first page and last page boxes double as first and last page arrows, it eliminates the redundancy... and if you want to get to a particular page you can just click the "page/page" box, i.e. the page of page box, and enter the page number you want to go to...

let me know if i misunderstood you and failed to address what you were asking...

just a quick note, i darkened, bolded a bit, and anti-aliased the thread text in response to those who felt the lighter text was a bit hard to read, hopefully this is an improvement, let me know if you think it still needs work...

It seems angrier, so I'm good with that.
Thanks for all your hard work A1.

More of a question/feedback for Elvis I think...

I think the forum has a healthy population now we don't have to avoid segmentation? I would really like to see the Rams and General NFL sub forums separated if possible, especially with the season upon us, I think some of the Rams related threads could be pushed down too fast?

agree 100%... also, i like the text color you're using, looks great with this theme, would folks like this to be the thread text color?

Oh! I am not familiar with the forum technology but is there a way to "tag" someone in your posts like you would with Twitter so the tagged forum user get a notification?

i'm not familiar with twitter tagging so explain the process, i.e. why tag and why have a user get a notification of he tag? thanks!

Is quite simple. A poster would simply use @aeneas1 to tag a poster. This is a way of notifying a member to check out a post without having to quote them in a thread they might not have participated in.
