PhxRam wrote:Overall I thought it looked great. There were a few bugs, mostly avatars overlapping the user info area causing line breaks. After looking at it for a bit it appears most of the issue is due to long usernames. I dont know what you have the character limit set at but maybe back it down until you find the breaking point.

helpful, thanks...

Yup, same here. Worked perfectly.

@aeneas1

I noticed that a menu with user names pops up once you typed the "@" symbol, how is it determined which user names show up? Is it people that have posted in the thread thus far?

I think this function is perfect to "tag" people that haven't contributed to the thread so you couldn't technically quote them (and notify them that way) but you want them to take a look at something!

Here is a thought, assuming the menu that pops up is based on people that have contributed to the thread already, is it possible that when you type "@" and start typing the first few letters of the username, the function searches for the according username and show up in the list available for click to auto complete?

Like say if I want to tag Neil039 on this one, I can just type "@" first and then "Nei" Then bam the menu shows the people on this forum that have usernames starting with "Nei"

Just cause I think it might be difficult for people to remember the exact spelling of people's usernames and such.

I agree but I believe that is the load he is trying to avoid. Everytime you type a letter it is going to have to make a query looking up usernames.

yes, that's exactly right. auto complete was intentionally excluded from this mention feature because of server load, in fact it's the reason only those who participated in the topic are shown rather than a scrollable list of all users...

I tried to post a Song of the Day in the General Discussion forum. The post will not load properly and keeps crashing. I used my Ipad and CPU, neither work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's not the song. The Song of the Day page will not completely load. It appears that when I attempt to reply or post it locks up loading all the previous posts.

Thanks for the response and hard work. It's not a big deal, just wondering if other pages on the forum are doing the same. You have the RAMS/NFL page running and that's what matters!!!!!
