Come on, nobody?

1. A legit no hitter
2. No hits
3. No walks
4. No errors behind them
5. But no perfect game

Anybody?

I'll give you all a hint. They did it 107 years apart.

I assume a runner reached base on a hit by pitch or wild pitch?

That's the winner!! And those are the only two ways it could happen....no hits, no walks, no errors, no perfect game. Either a HBP or strikeout wild pitch. But I think the key requirement for perfect is "nobody reaching base". That's like the infamous "Babe Ruth no hitter/Ernie Shore perfect game". He walked the first batter, argued, got tossed, then Ernie Shore relieved him. The runner was caught stealing and Shore retired the next 26 hitters. Shore certainly tossed a perfect game, though he's not credited with it. I'd go so far to say he was better than perfect erasing the runner he inherited and then not allowing another baserunner.

On July 4th, 1908, Hooks Wiltse of the NY Giants had a perfect game against the Phillies but hit the last batter. Then got the next guy out for the no hitter. On June 20th, 2015, Max Scherzer had a perfect game against the Pirates and did the same thing.
