so i'm guessing most here are dodgers fans?
me? i've been a lifelong pittsburgh pirates fan, hopefully they can put together a nice season, gotta love that outfield, especially if mccutchen bounces back, pitching i dunno, should be better than last season, of course taking the central crown away from the cubs is more than a longshot, but i think they have a shot at a wild card spot! go bucs!
who do you guys pull for?

Opening day.
Baseball. I remember opening day, whether it was Babe Ruth League, Legion Ball, High School or College, the butterflies. Not nervous about failure but the excitement of competing. I loved the smell of fresh cut grass. The sound of balls popping in gloves as everybody warmed up their arms. That first good contact, crack of the bat. Like few other feelings.
A1, as far as your Pirates go, McCutcheon will bounce back. He's too good not to bounce back. I just worry if they're not contending for a wild card will they trade him? I hope not. He IS the Pittsburgh Pirates.

if it becomes clear that the bucs are out of contention, cutch won't be the only guy the bucs will deal.... they're very high on marte and polanco, have moved cutch to right, he's just not the face of the bucs he used to be, sadly, and undeservedly... add to this cutch is by far the highest paid bucco, even tho he doesn't rank among the 20 highest paid mlb outfielders, small market life...
anyway, baseball, opening day, for all leagues, just awesome stuff!

Yeah, I'm sure most of us here are Dodger fans. I've been one for over 40 years. I'm not too familiar with your Pirates but its going to be hard competing with the Cubs this year. They're the odds on favorite to win the World Series. Most people have them repeating but I have seen a couple publications that think the Dodgers will be the ones representing the NL.
The Dodgers sure got off to a nice start yesterday. 4 HR's. A grand slam by Peterson. 2 HR's by Grandal and a 3 run shot by Seager. Kershaw off to a great start too with only one earned run in 7 innings.
This should be a good year. The hated Giants figure to be pretty good. Should be a good pennant chase between the Dodgers and Giants. Whenever those two are battling for the division its always fun. Stressful but fun.

yeah, couldn't ask for a better opening day game than what the dodgers delivered, wish i could say the same about my bucco's opening day, ha ha.... btw, of the 14 opening day games, only 3 were won by road teams while the other 11 were won by home teams, the dodgers were one of three road winners....

So the dreams of an undefeated season are already over.
There's an old saying in baseball. You're gonna win 50 and lose 50. Its what you do with the rest.
