Mark Willard on Fox Sports Radio . . I used to listen to him on ESPN Radio. He and his co-host are going over last night's Kobe BET interview and Kobe talking about making a teammate cry. Willard mentions that he knows about one of the teammates Kobe made cry, teases the info., gives clues that it was a big man and only played with Kobe one year.

Yup, Dwight Howard. It's Willard and I never got the feeling that he's a total liar, but it wouldn't surprise me if true, it's believable, sad and funny all at the same time. Soft soft soft soft soft charmin soft soft soft

I don't know if Kobe made him cry but Howard sure didn't like playing with Kobe & it was evident if you watched a lot of games like I do, they never talked on the floor or when the team went into a sideline huddle, ignore is a better description...Frankly I'm glad Howard signed with Houston I never liked that guy myself, he was too much of a me-me-me-me guy...

Howard does not have that tough mindset it takes to lead a team. He'd be more comfortable being the comic sidekick. I know he's not the team leader on Houston. Its Harden. I don't see Houston ever winning a championship with that duo. Howard's not mentally tough enough and Harden's a defensive liability. I was shocked when the Clippers blew that lead.

I heard the Lakers were going to offer the $80 mil max contract to Lamarcus Aldridge. And the same source says he just might take it. That would be a solid addition. An all star big man who averages over 20ppg and 8 rebounds. I would prefer him over Love. I think Love is not as much a team player and he's not really much of a defensive player.

Out of all the rumors I've heard, Aldridge is the one I want to happen for the Lakers. Not only will it improve them, it'll keep Aldridge from going to San Antonio or anywhere else in the West.

Exactly. He's still got a few good years left. He could be part of the rebuilding core in a couple years. In the meantime, if Kobe stays healthy and Russell is all that, they could be a playoff team this coming season.

I've been wishy-washy on the Love/Aldridge thing but my history has always been to go with size, LA here too...
As for Kobe, the guy is all heart & determination but his injury is THE hardest to recover from & at his age if he can pull off 1 more season without any problems I'll be the first one to applaud him...

Well, looks like LA ain't going to LA. They say the presentation is what cost them. Not enough focus on basketball and too much on LA opportunities. Some thought Kobe telling him he'll be like Pau turned him off too. Whatever the case, time to move on and focus on Monroe or Jordan. I'm hearing they didn't offer Monroe a max deal. Not sure if he's worth the max, but I think he's looking for the max contract. Jordan will command a max deal and most people think he'll re-sign with the Clippers.

Love is staying in Cleveland. I'm lukewarm on him anyway. I know he's an all star, but he has limitations to his game. Especially on defense. I always thought he was soft too. If they can't land any of these free agents one has to wonder why. Is it Kobe? Is it the owners?

If they can't sign a quality free agent, I think they gotta start thinking about the draft. Maybe even make a trade to get more picks. Draft a project who could be good in a few years. Maybe there's a European star that can be had in the mid first round. I think its gonna take a few years to get back to being what they were.

Well they can say what they want but my guess is the losing and Kobe's last year aren't the strongest selling points. I'd expect the Lakers to be a whole lot more desirable to FA's this time next year...
