He deserves a ton of credit. More than that really.

You don't win 104 games and go 56-11 over two and a half months without knowing wtf you're doing!!! In fact, you don't do that if you aren't really, really baseball smart to begin with. Throw in a 6-0 postseason record and it's clear Roberts deserves as much credit, probably more, than every other MLB manager in 2017.

I didn't mean he didn't deserve credit for yanking a guy after 2 batters. He does. I was simply saying that's the MLB game now. And it's made it harder to "stick with" a starter, as long as you should in some cases.

Man what a terrible call !!!! How can that moron 3rd base umpire overrule the home plate ump if he didn't hear or see anything.......because he couldn't have HEARD the ball NOT hit the bat and he couldn't have SEEN a deflection that didn't happen. I'm sitting there thinking 'watch Granderson homer here and all hell will break loose'! That guy shouldn't be allowed to work postseason games.

Just when we're giving Roberts credit, he deserves plenty of criticism for the horrible lineup he started tonight. Utley? Granderson? Even the previously productive Ethier was bad. Then moving Puig to the cleanup spot? DR got way too cute with this lineup and it cost the Dodgers. Granderson and Utley both need to be left off the WS roster if they get that far. Ex-player manager letting his emotions dictate the lineup IMO.

I can agree with the statements about Utley and Granderson, that's legit. But don't blame Ethier's bad night on Roberts, that's second guessing. There were a lot of Dodger fans asking for him instead of Granderson and Hernandez in left.

The Dodgers will be in the series. They'v got Kershaw, Hill and Darvish if those first two happen to have off nights. There's only 1 team to come back from down 3-0 and I watched every pitch. It ain't easy to screw that up. It takes cockiness, complacency, the opponent getting red hot and some luck on their part. Though I was never a Roberts fan because of his part in that epic collapse, I doubt it would be karma if they collapsed. Bellinger would have to pull an A-Rod (which he isn't capable of) and Darvish pull a Kevin Brown. Ain't gonna happen.

Sorry, poor punctuation on my part. I think Ethier should be in LF with Taylor in CF and Puig in RF from here on out.

Granderson and Utley should be left off the WS roster.

Yankees / Dodgers World Series ?????

Rams in the playoffs ?????

Congratulations Dodger fans. 29 years is a long time. 18 years of no postseason. 10 postseason years falling short. But the 26 years prior to that 29 year period were pretty good. 10 Postseason appearances. 8 World Series. 4 Championships.

dodgers vs yanks = highest payroll vs second highest payroll, would be fun....

congrats to all of you dodgers fans, that's a helluva team, and after years of paying through the nose for those rosters but always falling short, it's gotta be sweet to finally get there...
