It could be because they put it on cruise control. But sometimes that switch can be hard to turn back on. They've lost ten games in the standing to the D-Backs. I'm sure they built a big enough lead to hold on. But the way things have gone the past couple weeks, I have a bit of a concern it could be the most epic collapse of all time. If that happened I couldn't see them recovering for a long time. The pitching and hitting all went into a slump at the same time. Even Kershaw couldn't be a stopper. He got toasted yesterday. by PARAM 7 years 9 months ago Total posts: 13183 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame The Dodgers POST #474 Magic number is 11. Still in control. What is stunning is the fact they've lost 14 games in the last 16 days and their previous 14 losses occurred in almost 3 months (85 days), over 72 games (58-14). Talk about Bizarro World.1-15 from August 26th to September 10th? At what point is it a concern? Ahhh. San Francisco next up on the schedule. All is good. Man, what a crazy season. A stretch of wins I've never seen in my nearly 50 years of being a Dodger fan followed by a stretch of losses I've never seen. I gotta think the lead was so big they can't blow it. But man, they sure wanna make it interesting. Another concern is the pitching. What was once the best overall rotation with starting and bullpen can't get anybody out now. Most times the starter gives up multiple runs in the first inning. Then the hitting decides to go through a collective slump.
