Sonny Gray is gone. Thank God.

The Yankees shipped the right-handed to the Reds on Monday in exchange for a package of Cincinnati’s compensatory pick in this year’s draft, expected to be the 36th overall, and minor league second baseman Shed Long — who promptly is being flipped to the Mariners for minor league center fielder Josh Stowers — a source confirmed to The Post.

I like the DJ signing. Tulo? It's a cheap wager....if he's healthy fine....but that's a huge "if".

Collusion? About 20 years too late IMO!!!

The Yanks need another starter, not Machado but I'll take him if they sign him.

Harper? I would love to see them sign him. He's the LH bat we need.

This is where I am at (and was before the winter).

We need front of the line pitching and to re-inforce the BP if we lose guys.

We got Paxton who could be a solid guy. And we beefed up the BP. Would have loved a Kluber or something of that profile.

Harper and Machado are basically luxury signings. We don't NEED them. I wanted Harper because I think he will fit better. Even though I think Machado is the better player. If we don't sign either I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Would still love for us to trade for a starting pitcher but that can be done later too I guess. Basically if we go into next season with what we have I think we would have incrementally improved the team. The natural progression of our kids + Gary definitely not repeating last season's debacle + added starting pitching and BP pitching = we are better than last year. We might not have signed that pitcher who would put us over the top but we are still better imo.

Go Yanks!!

I expected more out of the Yankees this off season, but the reality is that they haven't really missed out on anything.
Machado, well its a double edged sword. IMO, signing him was the equivalent of signing a top flight pitcher, because with him signed Andujar would have been traded. So getting that pitcher would be awesome, however I love Du and hate to see him go.
Harper. Been hearing about 2019 for years and how he was going to be a Yankee. Now its possible, but its really not.. I ragged on Stanton, but the dude is a stud and will be a beast next year.
The lack of LH bats is a concern to me, its Yankee stadium after all.
So basically the Yankees reloaded the bullpen, great and upgraded the starters (*possibly)
Pitchers and catchers in 3 weeks....

I will not be disappointed as long as Paxton does not turn into a Sonny Gray type of deal.

Remember when we got Gray...…… oh now we have 2 top of the rotation guys. He has great stuff blah blah. Who could have known he would be so mentally fragile.

If Paxton is the anti Sonny Gray I think we are in business. The fucking Red Sox can't catch all the breaks 2 years running and the Eovaldi thing is gonna bite them. Not against us...….. he's gonna shut us down every time but overall. They still have to pay for a closer.

Also MO is gonna be teaching our guys "how to pitch". Lol. I laughed at the way he said it.

He thinks our guys are more about throwing than pitching.

I can see him making a difference with dudes like German and Lasagna and Monty. Betances too. Looking forward to it.

Fcuk Sonny Gray. I won't bring him up again.

Man.………. its nice to have spring training up and going. Needed it to take my mind off the Rams.
Can't wait for the first pre-season game and really want to see Paxton pitch.
